I will have to decide on this for my son next summer who at that point will be going into 6th grade and will be required to get both the meningococcal and booster TDap vaccines.

He had all of his early childhood vaccines, but this was before him contracting lyme and bartonella last summer. He was treated early on for 6 months and showes no symptoms. His LLMD has him on herbs and want him to stay on until the end of this year.

What has your experiences been for children who had lyme and co-infections but are now in remission? Should I not allow the vaccines? Separate them by a few months? What kinds of precautions could we take before hand?

Any thought, experiences and recommendation?

Thank you!

I'd suggest discussing this with his LLMD...

I did and all they would say is that lyme patients do not do well with vaccines. I was hoping for more guidance.

Personally, I would avoid if possible.

Avoid avoid avoid.

Get a medical note written by his LLMD.

The biggest mistake I made in the last year was getting the tetanus dip booster shot.

All my progress...went and everything got worse.

When I discussed this with my LLND,...this is par for the course with people with Bb.

My LL did mention a chelation procedure and also more stuff if I ever had to get a vaccine in the future.

Kids can go to school without vaccines. You just have to find out what kind of expemptions are available in your state. I used "philosophical expemption" in Ohio.

Up for more input.

You need to find out more about who the vaccine is from and where it's made. Some are clean, some aren't. They are unbelievably carelessly made and from different manufacturers.

I just did fine with tetanus but requested one that I researched up on.

There's also protocols he could take afterward to clean out metals.

Here's something on TDAP for example.

My LLMD has said only to get shots that are inactivated - no live vaccines.
