Friday will be 3 weeks since my stomach tube surgery.

After surgery my feet and ankles were very puffy.

They still are very puffy.

What causes this and what can I do about it ?

There are many causes for puffy legs (water retention in the ankles/feet).

Insufficient protein intake (malnutrition/malabsorption)

Electrolyte imbalance

Poor circulation

Cardiovascular disease

Medication side-effects (abx., steroids, etc.)

Kidney disease

Too much sodium

etc...

To treat:

Elevate the feet above the level of your heart for 30 minutes 3 times/day...

Work with your doctor to figure out the cause...
