Who has this symptom? What do you do about it?

I mean wide swings..80/60 to 156/84 for example..sometimes even higher or lower, but this is typical.

Shortness of breath can almost be too short to talk. Dizziness and headaches, too.

I am going to see my LLMD's cardiologist but I wanted any input you might have, questions to ask.

I have tried Bystolic but fear taking it can cause even lower pressure. I may need another brain scan....doc says it's my choice but he thinks he knows what he'll see. It's left brain symptoms.

I've been on IV Rocephan for 6+mos, will continue 6 more mos he thinks. I am making progress!

It sounds like it could be hyper POTS, a form of autonomic dysfunction common with Lyme.

I don't know. I have the same problem. I have referred to the high BP days as "BP attacks" for lack of a better way to describe them.

Those "BP attacks" are days in a row when my BP is >160/100 and I lay in bed waiting for the BP to come down. It's very frightening.

Then there are weeks at a time where the BP is high/normal which for me is 140/90. And if I take the BP meds when the BP is at that level, my BP can plummet to LT 120/80 and I experience severe SOB.

Doesn't Babesia cause POTS?

I have this issue at times too?

I improved on babs treatment. I had wide fluctuations in blood pressure and pulse, blue extremities, intolerance to heat - all improved a great deal with babs treatment.

My understanding is it could also be lyme as it is known to cause dysautonomia as well.

Yes, it is frightening. I've learned to Stop! when it feels weird.Rest and stay calm. My son has learned to spot it and he reminds me to rest and Breathe!

My LLMD has ordered oxygen for me and Medicare calls it a "luxury"! Wait til they get the hospital bills! The irony is that Obamacare would pay, but once you turn 65, oxygen is a luxury.
