Yes, got one too. I posted on General with info as well. Looking forward to seeing it, even if it is only a few minutes in length.

Kathie Lee and Hoda are on in the Midwest from 10:00 to 11:00 ... so it would be 10:38 for us as well. (??) That doesn't make sense.

"Dear Leaders in the Lyme Community;

We are writing to ask for your assistance in spreading the word as quickly and broadly as possible about Dr. H appearance tomorrow on the Today Show. The interview was just confirmed in the last hour, and we could use your help getting the word out to as many as possible. A public discussion about Chronic Lyme Disease on national television is an important event. We appreciate any support you can offer in sharing this brief announcement with your colleagues and contacts:

Tomorrow, July 2 at 10:38am, Dr. H will appear on NBC’s Today Show for a short interview with Kathie Lee and Hoda about Chronic Lyme Disease. Please tune it.

Best regards,

Lee Horowitz, HVHA"

It's on the 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. show in MA (at least that's what the verizon guide says).

Pretty good. I had to put the close captioning on because the music was so loud.

Dr. H was pretty good, very professional yet conversational for the venue.

It astounds me that neither host was the least bit lyme aware. They thought they were, and that's even sadder. Glad they had him talk even if for just a short time.

Other than some about the tests, He never got to say how a person's doctor is likely not going to know enough to help, though. People need to know that (but I guess if he actually said it, he'd be banned by the network doctor advisors).

Sadly, I think some viewers might have come away thinking their doctors will surely know. Hope they get the book to learn more, though.

"It astounds me that neither host was the least bit lyme aware."

Kathy Lee actually gave a horrible segment on Lyme last year. The hosts say that you probably need a ton of antibiotics (which is correct!) and the doc (which is NOT the same doc this thread is about) said, "no only 2-4 weeks" which is totally wrong.

Here it is with total inaccuracy of treatment and diagnosis (I stress that the info in it is wrong):

Hopefully Dr. H. will help turn around her (and other people's) ignorance.

Sammi, thanks for posting.

I thought he did an wonderful job for the short amount of time he had (he covered a lot). Well done Doc H!

Saw him from my hosp. bed (no kidding - yes I was in the hosp. for fainting). My take-away from seeing the interview...chronic symptoms maybe caused by co-infections.

I don't totally agree.

That "bugger" can do enough on "his own"...ongoing.

IMO...aim for the "leader". Take "him" out.

Not happening.

Marnie.. hope you are A-OK!!

Hosts sounded so ditsy...but guess they were jusi lyme illiterate

If you just watched the "intro" that Hoda gave, you'd come away with the impression that if you "get" Lyme you'll HAVE the ring rash.
Not so, of course, according to Dr. H, but, yes, the two ladies seemed *quite* Lyme-ill-Literate.

Surprising as it's taped in (they're based out of) NYC. Don't they have any "friends" who have, or treat, the disease? They sure come into contact w/ lots of folks!
Hmmm... Guess there's not many ticks questing in high rises....

Yeah but they're hanging out in the Hamptons on the weekends, that's why they looked scared whit less at the end.
