We are now 5 months into my child's treatment and I am cautiously optimistic that he might be starting to finally turn the corner after the addition of a another abx.
He seems to be having as many good days as bad days which is a far cry from before treatment. Hoping that trend will continue to improve.
He will be going to Pre-K in September and the NY State law requires him to be up to date on all vaccines.
Last year when we got him vaccinated he started steadily going downhill and I'd hate for it to happen all over again, especially after all this difficult treatment he's gone through.
My question is have any parents successfully tried the Religious objection? From what I've seen it looks hit and miss (at least in NY).
What about a letter from our LLMD stating that my son is currently immune compromised and cannot handle vaccinations?
If anybody has had success in getting either of these exemptions or know anybody that has I would love to hear about it.
Thanks!
