Is RMSF something you can accurately retest to see if it is gone? I keep testing positive for active infection and can find limited information online about RMSF other than initial infection stuff. How does it stay in your body for so long?

I've also had strep throat twice in the last month. Any connection to Lyme or RMSF?

Its my understanding that testing for RMSF isn't much good, so presumably that applies to late as well as early disease.

I had strep two years running. Did not get it treated the first time, because I didn't know what it was besides a different kind of cold/flu. The second time it happened, went to urgent care after a week and tested positive. To my knowledge, have never had strep pre-lyme. So, is there a connection? Don't have any idea. Something to do with all the antibiotics I have had (but pen vk knocked it out no problem), or just a confused immune system thanks to lyme?

you may have lingering strep. I did. got rid of it recently and felt way way better after. I do not think they are related

RMSF, I am not sure since I did retest and it was still present. I do alternative treatment with herbals and such, so my LL dr gave me another treatment to do with a stronger ingredient as he said some people hold onto

RMSF more than others. I guess it can be hard to get rid of.

I didn't start that treatment yet, but in a couple more months I will be retested again.
