my little girl is going on a camping trip with her girl scouts group. I'm so worried about tick bites! What can I do? I'm about to not let her go.....it's only one night and I am not going with her. She will be with other chaperones.

I do well with Coleman's Skin Smart because I can't tolerate DEET.
Cutter Backwoods insect repellent is really good and has low DEET content.
Both are fragrance free.
You can try going the natural route. Personally, the natural route didn't work for me and I got reinfected anyway, but it's better than nothing.
You can also get clothing or treat clothing with permethrin.

The Tick Tackler Outdoor Bug Protection Patch has worked well for us. It is a patch that lasts for 36 hours and contains vitamin B1, which actually repels bugs. It repels against all vector insects, including ticks, fleas, and mosquitos. It is also waterproof.
I'd say essential oils, like orange guard on clothing and camping gear, other essential oils for skin. I'd spray the camping area with the orange guard too.
