I've done some searches on here about spider veins and surprisingly found more results than I thought I would. I thought I might be the only one wondering, but I guess not!
I was recently diagnosed cdc and igenex positive for lyme, and my llmd thinks I also at least have Bart.
Over the last year of being sick (before I knew it was lyme) I suddenly was getting TONs of tiny "spider veins" on my entire thighs, butt a little but and also ankles.
Now after reading I wonder if it's a symptom of something. It's hard to know since many people without lyme get spider veins, but for me I got so many out of nowhere this last year of being sick.
Anyone else get this or know what or if it's related to anything?

Bartonella.

That's what I was thinking.
How can I know if this is from Bart or me just getting regular spider veins?
Has anyone had this before? Would they be all over your body or could it just be legs and ankles when associated with bartonella?

A Lyme Literate Medical Doctor does a physical exam upon the initial appointment, one reason why it's so long- (few hours)
There is no way to ascertain 100% your increase in spider veins is from Bartonella- but skin manifestations of this sort are common with this infection, and if you do some googling
and research you may find pictures and more information.
A few years before my positive Bart test (and I've never had the 'classic Bart scratches') I noticed red spider veins appearing on my thighs-
my vanity took me to a Dr. that used some type of hand held laser thing to get rid of them- it was horrid- so painful I cried.
But yes, my opinion is Bartonella. But you need a LLMD. I do not have spider veins like this anymore - good luck.
