Hello Everyone, My lower back has been hurting horribly where it will not allow me to stand. Along with this, both of my knees feel like I'm 90 yrs. old!

So I suffer with getting up from any type of chair and then once up, I am 1/4 bent over because of my back. It takes me a few second to eventually become upright.

Just had 4 weeks, twice a week, water therapy for my knees. I am going to a chiropractor. This is my week off of my meds. Anyone else have these symptoms or something similar? Thanks for your help.

I have what you describe with the back.

It takes a long time to straighten up after standing.

The pressure in my spine prevents me from doing this quicker.

It goes up my entire spine and into my skull.

My doc said this is inflamed meninges from neurolyme.

Along with it comes other neuro type sympstoms too, not just the stiff spine.

I can't sit in traditional chairs because the pressure in my spine and head is worse when my knees/hips are bent, and seems when I have to look down or bend my head down too.

Sitting at a table reading is hell for pain along my spine and in my head.

Is your LL trained in ozone?

For muscle and tendon type stuff my doc does ozone prolotherapy. It DOES help me.

But it is important to find a doc trained in ozone. Also able to find trigger points and scar tissue by touch.

Anyways I am sorry you are suffering so.

Folks on here with knee issues will tune in soon I hope.

For the back I can only suggest ozone prolotherapy if it is muscle/fascia related pain.

If it is inflamed meninges like mine, then only thing that helps was IV abx.

Also important to find effective pain treatment if necessary. Can your LL help you find a pain type med?

Best of luck to you.

Yes, the prolotherapy could help ease the pain and stabilize the joints.

Have you tried taking Curcumin 3 times a day for the inflammation and pain?

New Chapter Ginger is good too.

What about therapeutic magnets?

Topricin cream.

QRS mat- some chiropractors have them.

It would be good if we could type exact info like

what the pain sensation is (electric shock,

shooting, like a red hot poker, etc. and the

direction of the pains).

Also, mention what position or action you do to

attempt to

make it feel better...like "If I put heat on it

helps." I see things that make it worse and that

is good info and if the info is rounded

out a bit more people can know what you have

done

or not done and that can allow us to hone in on

it a bit more.

I find that taking turmeric powder in capsules eases pain in my joints, my muscles and my knees - ie takes down inflammation.

I get the bulk powder at the healthfood store and put it in 00 size empty capsules.

I also have found that getting a lymph drainage massage can ease knee pain.

I think it's also a matter of what treatments work for us. Like I hit a bingo with oral clindamycin and had basically no more pain for about 5 years.

I have also spent time in the swimming pool stretching out tight muscles. I started doing this taking pain med for a month, and then it didn't hurt so much anymore as I was getting oxygen in and lactic acid out.

And I've seen a good chiropractor.

You may have to approach these challenges from many angles in order to ease the symptoms.

As in get creative. For example, does heat help you move better? It does for me. So, if your answer is yes, you might want to figure out how to warm your body areas before moving them. Like I'm ok with a heating pad. Not everyone is.

You sound like you have pain from Vitamin D deficiency. Have you had a blood test taken to check your levels?

Has anyone tried Andrographis? Looks like it will

take the heat out of inflammation and help drain

the liver.

Byron White has a formula called A-Inflam that

might help and can be obtained through a

practitioner.

For chronic inflammation one starts at

1 drop, up to twice daily if tolerated. For acute

flares one can use up to two dropper full if

tolerated. It can be rubbed directly onto the

painful spot topically too.

All of you are the best! I don't know what I would do without all of you. I actually will print all of this and make my notes when I see my PA in D.C. in early December.

Your posts always allow me to have hope and I thank you for that.
