If so can you describe what you experienced?

I have Bp spikes and increased heart rate. I also have bad heart palps.

I have seen 2 cardiologists, done a stress test, 2 echos, many many ekgs. ( like 100 due to er visits), 48 hour holter.

Nothing has ever been wrong at all but still my heart bugs me and I worry.

Who else has these heart probs

Anyone?

Heart palps has been one of my symptoms. I'd get them intermittently throughout the day, usually when at rest. They were worst when I lay down to sleep at night.

Multiple ekg's, a stress test, and an echo found nothing abnormal. Also had bad chest pain, hopefully that was all from costochondritis.

My palps mostly went away when I began tx'ing for parasites. They are mild now when I do get them.

Cardiac sx can be frightening. I hope you get relief from them soon!

Hey gz, yes exactly, I def have the sx you have.

These sx were gone for me for a while. I stopped treating for 5 months but now they are back again.

I have just started back up with ozone, art and chelation.
Hopefully they will go soon.

The thing I hate the most are the Bp spikes and increased hrt rate.

This only started after I started tapering off benzos.

Anyone else?

My heart rate spikes went away after starting metoprolol er. My heart was often pounding out of my chest before that.

Hey vv, has the heart issue not gone away with treatment

Posted by Maya12 (Member # 36392) on :

Yes vv, I take bispropolol.

I still get the chest type pain and heart palps when I treat the babs. I also get sob which sucks when I take art.

Do the heart sx get better with tx?

Posted by VV (Member # 38828) on :

It has been tamed with metoprolol.

I don't know what effect treatment has had, as I have not come off the metoprolol.

There's your answer.

I have had bad palpiations and more than one form of arrhythmia that got so bad at one stage that even brushing my teeth set it off. I felt as if I could die any minute. My breathing also went somehow out of sync with my heartbeat.

I also seemed to suddenly change from hypothyroid to hyper thyroid, which obviously made the heart rhythm problems worse. If I ingest more than a tiny amount of sugar, that also sets off tacchcardia.

I too am on Bisoprolol (don't know the US name for it) for the rhythm problems and this seems to work quite well mostly.

I agree. Could be coming from Benzo w/d. When I had tapered off xanax a few years back I got a lot of heart related issues. But then again I had the same symptoms from Q-Fever but was not on or w/d'ing from a benzo so I knew symptoms were from the Q-Fever,

I had palpitations, both during the day and while lying in bed at night. Those were the worst.

My heart beat was also very obvious (I could feel it beating in my chest) and elevated. I have been an athlete for most of my life, and I was accustomed to a resting heart rate of 60 bpm, but for a while there my resting heart rate remained close to 80.

Both Holter monitor assessment and heart ultrasound revealed nothing out of the ordinary, but I knew what I was experiencing was not normal.

My endocrinologist prescribed beta blockers, but I refused them.

With herbal treatment (Buhner's full protocols) for bartonella/babesia these heart symptoms have completely resolved. The supplements that have helped me the most with heart issues have been low dose bioidentical progesterone (helps adrenal function - guys too), magnesium citrate, taurine and hawthorne.

ME.

they got WAY better after I tx for a long list of things, including lyme, of course, parasites, bart, babs, strep, and other stuff I can't remember right now.

now I only get palps or skipped beats when I drink caffiene.

Many things can cause it, but in your case it sounds like it's from benzo withdrawal.

Gaba receptors take time to grow back so people are supposed to taper off benzos slowly. This says to switch to valium, also yoga, breathing exercises, avoid caffeine and sugar, get more protein, and eat more grains to smooth out blood sugar levels (more below).

I had a racing heart rate and arrhythmia show up within the last year---landing me in the ER with a heart rate of 150 bpm.

I've had to start taking digoxin, but this didn't fix the arrhythmia.

Some research, and I found that this is due to Taurine and Arginine depletion. This could come from the benzos or from working to withdraw from them. Mine came from Lyme and co-infections.

At any rate, Taurine and Arginine powders are really easy to get, so I started with 4 grams of Taurine and 1 gram of Arginine in a smoothie or juice three times a day.

The arrhythmia has completely resolved in a few weeks, and now I'm taking the Taurine and Arginine just twice a day and plan to ask my MD for OK to end off on the digoxin in a week or two.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Cass A

Lyme caused me that, herxes caused me those heart issues, and lately, my teeth caused me that (one or two infected teeth, I'm not sure which as I pulled both in the same day).

The same day I pulled the teeth, my heart issues got better, I could sleep calmly, no more high BP, no more insomnia, anxiety.

But I remember that heart issues were my first lyme symptoms, and that I had gone to see cardiologists and they found nothing. And of course, the day I went to see them, my BP was always normal (to confirm that I was crazy, and that everything was in my mind...).

I continued lyme and coinfection treatment, and everything went back to normal, until my tooth issue a few months ago.

I have heart palps in the sense that I am acutely aware of my heartbeat especially at rest or when I go to bed at night.

It feels as though my heart is pounding inside but not skipping beats or fast. It sometimes feels as though it is actually making my body move to every beat. I know weird but true...

It has been my worse symptom for 3 years and nothing helps or relieves it. I am now thinking it is a mental thing and I need to learn how to ignore it somehow.

what causes the hard thumps and klunks? they're so hard my chest actually hurts and it feels like im going to pass out.

I describe them as butterflies in my chest, I would feel my heart fluttering.
Blood pressure fluctuations ,really high then very low.
I am happy to report this all went away after 4+ years of treatment.

I have exactly the same! A strong pounding sensation that comes and goes which i can feel throughout my entire body. My limbs and eyes will sometimes move a bit to the rhythm of the beat. The bpm seems to be ok, perhaps sometimes slightly increased in rest (like 80 or so, while normally im at 50-60bpm).

While it is a worrying symptom it doesnt actually bother me that much. I doesnt inhibit my daily life like the other neurological and fatigue symptoms do.
