My son has been taking allergy shots for a year and a half. He is 19 and very athletic. He still has to take zyrtec every night but sometimes that doesn't help enough.
He is also allergic to dairy, wheat, tomatoes, peanuts, peaches and mold, pets, many pollens, dust mites. He hasn't been tested for lyme although he was bitten when he was very young.
Does anyone have any homeopathic supplements that might help him? He resists going to a lyme doc after seeing what I've been through.

don't know if it will get rid of existing allergens but at least I haven't picked up any new allergens since being on it.

My Brother has almost the exact same allergy list. He has found the only thing that helps him is diffusing Essential Oils in his bedroom to address mold/fungus (in the room and in his sinuses).

Thanks for the info on SyAllgen - that looks quite promising for my DH (he has a severe systemic allergic disease, and is having a lot of problems from the medications used to treat it).

syntrio has almost the same remedies than Sanum!
I've been on Sanum for years, and now I use them less.
I didn't use it for allergies, but for pathogens.
as these are homeopathic, they do have different effects for different problems.
the only one i never used is exactly this Penicillium frequentans. I don't think Sanum has it. but all others, I know them for ages, and they work well for many types of pathogens.

It's vital that he seek someone with skill & experience who can help him get to the cause(s).
Testing out this or that homeopathic is not likely to provide either the answers or the relief for such comprehensive situation.
As he seems to be drawn to homeopathics, though, it would seem best that he find a naturopathic doctor who is trained in this area as well as expert in other areas and a LL ND seems the most logical, just in case lyme might be a player.
But, if it's not, that LL ND would still have the expertise to help in such a complex case.
Most LL NDs would also consider MTHFR / methylation issues as possibilities.
MOLD, too, as someone mentioned. There are so many factors but the key is to consult an expert who can logically sort it all out.
In the meantime, trying some homeopathic remedies might offer some type of relief.
BIORON is the place to begin there but it can really take hours and weeks to try to figure out which remedy might be best suited for a person and then get it all wrong if we don't have the education behind it.
And, often certain herbs can be of help but it's a shot in the dark without a ND's guidance.

if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
so they really know all they can about the science of lyme . . . how lyme (& other TBD) act and what we can do about that in various ways.
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc.

I canot read what others wrote above, but this is me:
I am like your son. allergic over the yrs to almost every food. tested by allergist.
onions, lettuce, sugar cane, pepper.... just to name a very few.
It got to the point right before I was diagnosed in 2013 that I had trouble eating everything.
after dx I got on tx and have seen a huge improvement to my allergies and I am now able to eat so many more things. not constant, but I rotate and still get less rashes, have less GI issues and less sx overall.
I tx first with abx and then switched to herbals. but these were all tx for parasites and lyme, babs, bart, RMSF, etc..... I stopped allergy shots and all allergy meds about 4 yrs ago because I found no relief.
now I stil take no allergy meds yet. I am thinking about getting retested but my lyme dr says I will probably still test positive to them, but just not AS allergic. Idon't know.
I stil avoid my big severe allergies, which are to wheat, gluten, pork.

With all do respect, and I really do mean that, homeopathy is it's own discipline that takes years of study. I am always amazed by naturopaths and doctors who think they can do a semester of homeopathy and then practice homeopathy. I liken it to taking a semester of particle physics and then listing on one's resume that they are a particle physicist. There are some very rare doctors who actually are formally trained in homeopathy- so I exclude them. India has many homeopathically trained MDs but I don't know of any LL homeopathic doctors, from India, here in the USA.
But, back to the thread subject, I wished it would be so easy to deal with allergies with homeopathy. But, because of the amount of suppression (anti-histimines,allergy shots) I would choose another route.
Even though our situation is different, it still might be an avenue to look at. We have chosen to go to a Dr. Shoemaker trained MD who understands all of the pathophysiology of mold toxicity, neurotoxins and Lyme. I use homeopathy to quickly (so far) get our loved one out of herxing and to deal with the underlying miasm of why this individual was susceptible to getting Lyme in the first place.
Simple over the counter homeopathy at this point, for allergies, would only be palliative and not getting to the root of the cause, as Keebler said. One over the counter combo for allergy relief is called Sabadil by Boiron. It might bring temporary relief. It's inexpensive and that's always a good thing. All the best to your son.
