Anyone with Lyme aggravate their thyroid? My TPO's have been high in every one of my labs so far, TPOs as high as 154 IU/ml and the range for abnormal is anything above 34. My family has a history of Hashimoto's and Celiacs and I'm already a confirmed Celiac.

Right now, I'm starting to feel symptoms of hypothyroidism, cold sensitivity, constipation, swollen glands, tightness in the hips and shoulders, dry skin ect. This has all been made worse from me just starting Mepron. My doc is pretty sure I have babesia because I'm getting sweats, but I think my thyroid is also being affected.

Anyone else have any insight or experience with this?

Lyme for sure can mess with the thyroid. Are you on any thyroid meds? Not every doc knows how to test and treat this.

You can have babesia and a lyme affected thyroid at the same time. Many of us have had this.

Sometimes it is hard to separate out family history from tickborne disease consequences. Hypo runs in my family. Not sure anyone of them ever got tested for anti-thyroid antibodies though.

If nothing else is going on and thyroid autoimmune signs are there, they may be resolved when lyme successfully treated.

I highly recommend a website called Stop the Thyroid Madness. Super helpful.

Yeah everytime I get blood tests, I get results for my thyroid, I just wasn't sure if it was something worth treating now or until after I think I can get rid of Lyme.
