Is there a food or supplement known to break thru biofilm? I have protozoamyxoa and probably a lot more but it is literally killing me because I can't breathe.

I just started Bicillin shots and thought maybe there's a supplement that might enhance the med.

Stevia breaks through it fairly well. You can also take enzymes (serrapeptase, nattokinase).

where can I buy those enzymes? I'll try Stevia too.

Also lumbrokinase - I think you can buy these in healthfood stores, and online.

Don't go too fast, though, as you could herx from release of stuff in the biofilm.

Also xylitol. My llmd has me on xylitol, says their experience is it works better than stevia.

Others above what was mentioned above:
- cistus incanus tea
- Rechts Regulat

Michael, great that xylitol works! What brand do you suggest?

2Young, forgot to mention that babs and parasites really affected my breathing. Are you taking any parasite stuff for proto?

Also, you can get stevia pretty much anywhere, but Cowden makes it in tincture form too. Compounding pharmacies usually have the enzymes as well.

So the good news is there are lots of different things to try.

The bad news is that the term "biofilm" suggest one type molecule, when in fact biofilm is used to describe large group of variable molecules that all serve a similar purpose. Also understand that bacterial biofilm is a a real problem for many other bacterial infections, and there is still a lot unknown.

type in Dr. Sapi for information on lyme biofilm. you can start here

There is more known now, so search for the more recent research.

There is less known about the protomyxoa biofilm.

My advice would be to start with teh things that have more evidence that they work.

The herbs samento and banderol were shown by dr. sapi to help LYME biofilm breakup IN A TEST TUBE. Still better than nothing.

EDTA is known to break up some biofilm, and can be found as an added componant of a few enzyme supllements. IT is also typically added into Marcons nasal sprays. (IF you take this, be aware EDTA binds to iron and calcium, so watch that you take extra vitamins .

There are many different kinds of enzymes. Some break down carbohydrates, some break down fats and others break down protiens. Dpending on the makeup of the biofilm, youll need different enzyme types.

My understanding is that the protomyxoa biofilm (according to Dr. F, and I have not read or seen his rearch, but still) has lots of fats, and that was why he recommended that amoung other things, a very low fat diet, less than 10 g a day, was needed. Since youve got the proto, look for enzymes that say "lipase", those break down fats. But since the biofilm is a matrix, you will need things that break down carbohydrates and protiens as well.

There is a "medication" on the market called creon, which has equal parts fat, protein, and carbohydrate dissovling enzymes. This is good because the enzymelevels are standardized.

Sometimes with supplements, the enzyme counts are not well controlled, or have degraded. So, I'd say if you are going to do supplements, go for good brands that have some testing likeCowden, or wobenzyme.

There was some rearch, but not published yet, showing that serrapeptase was effecive for lyme biofilm.

Another thing to understand is that sometimes, your enzymes or herbs may stop working as well. The bacteria and biofilm matrix can change. So you mihgt need to change up your enzymes.

I know when I started the samento, holy smokes 5 drops knocked me down hard. Now, I do 40 drops 2 x a day. I don't thinkg it is working as well for me anymore.

Hope all this babble helps you, and that I didnt make it confusing...

If you want to see how much biofilms you have, just add a few drops of activated MMS in the water enema. You will be amazed!!!!

IMO, MMS is the strongest biofilm breaker I've ever used.

I've been taking MC-BFM-1 from beyond balance:

Anyone else try it? I'm not sure what enzymes it has in it.

The herb haritaki

Bolouke (earthworm enzymes) by Researched Nutritionals is a good one for herbal. Pricey but works.

At some point you'll need an Rx enzyme disruptor (Tindamax or Flagyl). I didn't really get "better" until I addressed biofilms.
