I was seeing a lyme doctor who i had to stop seeing due to cost and not working anymore. I did however get my igenex test results which showed positive.
I recently had a new partner and started birth control. I feel an idiot just starting it assuming it would be alright. I also had to take Plan B due to an oops which occurred and continued my birth control on top of this. I was fine for over a week and then i started to have lots of spotting and cramping. It is now on day 3 and it is continuing. No ibuprofen takes off the cramps either. I was seeing an OBGYN next week, but i am concerned if this is lyme related they won't find the cause of the bleeding and just blame the pill.
Does anyone know if lyme can cause this as a symptom? I am terrified and don't know what to do.Also got a random cat scratch looking rash on my stomach this afternoon out of nowhere. Not sure if related or not.

So sorry you are in pain and worried too. I can promise you one thing.
You can not cure Lyme by worrying.
Check the pills to see if they have any progesterone. If not- the addition of progesterone MIGHT help, but ask the doctor before starting any new meds while this is going on.
And yes, Lyme can throw menstrual cycles into a dizzy. Hope it improves soon!

Ugh. Lyme and co-infections can totally mess with your hormones and your cycle. As can birth control and Plan B.
I think you triple whammied your hormones, but I mostly suspect the BC and Plan B for the bleeding. Can you stop the birth control and use a barrier method til you've had some Lyme treatment? At least that would help you rule out two possibilities.
The cat scratches are probably a Bartonella rash. Bartonella henselae is called Cat Scratch Fever, because it's carried by cats. It also makes lots of skin rashes, some of which look like stretch marks. Does yours look like that?
