I feel really fed up tonight. My worst symptom by far is this constantly out of it spacey feeling. It never goes away and is constant. I can barely eat anything without it getting worse. By the time i go to bed i feel so out of it it is kind of crazy...

and i believe that food are making it worse. Sugar, caffeine, and possibly gluten....dairy too. I also feel weirder after foods that i don't see why they would be making me feel more spacey like garlic and olive oil.

If i could take away this symptom alone i would feel 90 percent normal again. It is by far the worst one...and i am not even sure lyme is causing it.

I also have constant extreme sensitivity to indoor lighting. It just looks weird and off. Some bug me so much i have to turn them off. I feel better without light on. Does anyone know if this could even be lyme related? I cut all these out for 3 weeks and felt no better

Could definitely be yeast. Can you find a Dr who will give you Diflucan? You could also try olive leaf extract or other herbs that kill yeast.

Garlic kills yeast, so it could give you die-off symptoms.

If other foods also make you feel ill, Google "Salicylate Sensitivity." Olive oil is fairly high in salicylates.

A previous doctor thought it may be yeast. They gave me both nystatin and then diflucan. Neither helped and i was on both for weeks. After it didn't help they ruled out yeast as the issue, although i always wondered if this could be it

I am remembering a previous post of yours regarding bad leg pain and the leg feeling heavy and other symptoms. See this post:

What ever happened about that?

Spacy - could be candida, could be Lyme, could be thyroid, could be neck subluxations -

Re candida, do you crave bread and sugar? That would be a sign of it. If so, as mentioned above, you would need to study what the candida diet is, and how it's treated. You might feel better switching to nonyeastfeeding foods. It would be your experiment. If you don't crave yeast-feeding foods, then I don't think you have a bad case of candida.

Re the Lyme, that's your treatment protocol, to find.

Re thyroid, you could test TSH and T3 - if low in T3, you can supplement with thyroid. My doctor likes to put people on either Armour or Naturethroid.

For instance, me - I felt spacy and not present. I tested low thyroid, went on Armour, and then I felt present again, as my metabolism started to work better. It was a thyroid-metabolism issue for me.

If we have neck subluxations, we can get spacy. A good chiropractor can check that out.

For light sensitivity and all other Lyme eye symptoms I've had, I'm able to stop them all by drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory juice you can find in health food stores and online.

I drink the Mango-Xan version, about an ounce a day, as it's the most tart. We are all different in how we respond to any remedy, so it's all about trying things to see if they work for you.

takethat89....

I would suggest that you read up on Leaky Gut, Gut Dysbiosis, and related dietary recommendations...

The gut related inflammatory/immune reaction can cause the brain fog and light sensitivity, as well as myriad other physical and mental symptoms.

The foods you have described are obvious suspects, but when the gut is permeable, you can have reactions to other foods/substances as well.

Leaky gut is the root of many chronic illnesses, and must be addressed to become truly well...

Hey takethat89 unfortunately I totally get what you mean and agree that foods make it worse. If I didn't have to eat I wouldn't but am glad I can.

It would just be nice if this spacy/out of it feeling wouldn't be so sensitive to everything. I notice the changes in weather make it worse/tolerable sometimes..its super confusing and tough to pinpoint.

Sorry I dont have many answers, just lending an ear and some compassion in letting you know I totally know what you're talking about. 4 years, 24/7 but much much better than I've been before...just chilling in outer space for now.

this is because of histamine release because of toxins or immune activation. charcoal and cholestyramin make ist better for me. this is not from yeast/candida i.m.o. I had this too. I read that babs can cause this too. take binders!!!
