Hey there. I don't mean to be a numnut, but I am confused. I know the brain and the gut produce neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin. But, I have read that the gut neurotransmitters cannot cross the blood brain barrier, so one is independent of the other. Is this false? If not, then all the brain neuro issues are irrelevant to gut dysbiosis.

Please educate. Thanks loads

I think they're finding the gut and brain communicate more than they thought. There were recently new discoveries about a lymph and brain connection (Google brings up many articles on it). There is just so much they don't know.

Hey six. I believe the intestines absorb nutrients which benefit the brain, so that is significant and may be an indirect correlation. But perhaps what you' re saying is true, and it's more direct. I need to search that. I hope it is.

Thanks for your input.

As far as I understand, it is VERY direct. This video may not be the exact one you need, but this is the doctor who knows.

It seems they are finding it's more direct than just absorbing nutrients. With the new lymph discovery, it makes you wonder how much they still don't know. That discovery really seems to change everything.

Thanks for the link Tutu. I'm almost done watching it. Certain helpful nutrition wise. I need to look at his supplement list too. Mediterranean diet with more healthy fat.

Some discussion on neurotransmitters, but I still have 20 minutes left.

Thanks for the encouragement Tutu. You've always been there to redirect me in a more productive, reasonable, and safe direction. I love you for that. It means ALOT.
