Does honey feed bartonella?

Also, I have a big red painful spot on my back. It could be bart, or bulls eye. Will it ever go away?

I felt sick every time eating honey for years. didn't know I had tick disease for long time. now, after treatment, I think I can tollerate it a little. I started adding small amounts and I haven't noticed as much of the bad feelings.

my EM rash took MONTHS to go away. like at least 4 months I think.

Ah ok. I have had it for four. It showed up after treatment started.

It is painful, and it is on my spine. My spine hurts too. I keep thinking maybe the bacteria ate eating away at my spine.

Oh and on the honey I don't seem to have any pain. I just don't want to feed the bugs anything they like. [Smile]

If anyone has any input it would be welcomed. Thanks. [Smile]

I sent a picture to my llmd and he said it could be bart, or lyme rash.

My GP has me putting anti fungal cream on it.

Had LOTS of honey on my gluten free, sugar free, milk free pancake this morning.

I am now in pain.....Only thing I have changed in two days.

I'm guessing honey is out for me.

You say that your "GP has me putting anti fungal cream on it." -- check all the ingredients in that to be sure there are no steroids.

If it's not fungal, then the cream isn't likely going to help.

Allimax cream may work well for you.

Sigh. Even a "gluten free, sugar free, milk free pancake" is really sugar due to the refined nature of it. Anything pulverized to a flour turns into a simple sugar. Best to avoid all flours, really as the glycemic index is very high.

[Although a bean flour or black rice flour would have a lower - better - glycemic index, likely some of the flours in the pancake were not as complex and then the honey - lots of it - just tipped you right over.]

Whole, thick rolled oats may be a better option as they are not so refined. A little stevia or very dark or bright berries can add some nice sweetness.

Really, though, two kinds of vegetables, maybe a few dark / bright berries, a meat, good fish or eggs, are a better choice for breakfast.

For "grains" non-gluten WHOLE grain or grain like things like Quinoa, Black, Red or WILD rice, millet, etc. But just a little bit in proportion to the vegetables.

Onions, garlic, shallots, chives, other culinary herbs and spices with organic butter or special oils can make it special.

Mushrooms, too, are great for any meal.

yes, pancakes are ok for me as long as I don't add any syrup or liquid sweet topping- like honey. if I add any syrup it sends me into sugar shock. that huge combo is deadly to me.

just like oatmeal with any topping on it too. pure hell for me

Thanks for the info Keebler, and thanks for getting back to me LisaK.

I seem to do great with rice pasta, or flour for anything. No pain at all, which I am grateful for because I'm Italian. =)

I have been really craving BBQ too. I'm thinking about trying to design my own sauce with apple juice as the sweetener.

I seem to do just fine with as many fruits, or fruit juices that I want too.

LisaK do you have trouble with fruit, or fruit juice?

Oh, I think there is a steroid in that cream keebler. I know oral steroids are bad.

I know that steroid will penetrate my skin.

Do you have a link on topical steroids that shows adverse effects for people with lyme?
