Ugh! It always seems to happen during the spring or summer if it happens.
I'm on cefuroxime axetel and nystatin for the Lyme, but I now have burning skin, malaise, and fatigue. (I had a trial of Flagyl a few years ago and worked up to the full dose with no more herxing.) Now, I react adversely to cefuroxime medication (which I have been taking at double dose for 3 years)during this flare. I'm so sensitive now. Do I stop the medication or continue?
I tried taking an old malarone pill I had left over the other night, and boy, did that make me sick. If the infection isn't lyme, must be babesia, right?
Maybe, I had too many mosquito bites?
My LLMD is just as bewildered as I am.

It is all so weird. I hope you get some answers. This whole thing is so complex.

Update: Coming out of relapse and resuming life as I did before the relapse.
High dose Cefuroxime certainly helped along with Nystatin.
Starting Flagyl the past couple weeks and reacting strongly. I'm taking 1/4 pill now and pulsing, going slow so I can tolerate.
Olive Leaf Extract, Oil of Oregano capsules, and serapeptase capsules

So glad to hear it. Are you going to stay on abx for a while?

Burning skin ... Google histamine intolerance, salicylate sensitivity for starters.
