and which are the more expensive ones? I'm thinking I will be adding Tindomax next. I know what the doxycycline goes for, but what are your experiences?

Yes, but when they started inquiring about my symptoms / reasons I NEVER answered.
They still cover my meds. However, I think if I had given them info I would have been cut off.

Mepron is very expensive and sometimes the insurance doesn't want to pay for it. I have known a lyme doctor to intercede and get insurance to foot the bill on this one.
Of course IV medicine is the most expensive and insurance fights the doctor on that one.
Otherwise, prescription meds are generally paid for like they are for any other illness.

My doc had to get special permission for me to get Zithromax - I was prescribed 30 days and they only allow for 3, so doc got a 1 time coverage for 10 days. I don't understand. It's just Zithromax...it's not like I take addictive painkillers!

Im on Tini. Insurance does cover tini but its on my highest tier. Tier 3. Generic or brand. Usually generics are on a lower tier. Metronidazole (Flagyl) on the other hand is dirt cheap. Lowest tier which means for me $5 per month. Ive always been covered for all my antibiotics for Lyme and Ive been on many. Ive yet to see an antibiotic thats a "Plan Benefit Exclusion". Thats fancy shmancy insurance legal talk for not covered.

Oh and by the way, why would any insurance companies restrict Azithromycin? Its like dirt cheap and there are 300 generics. Thats like the Hitler of insurance companies there. I mean the worst they might do is say No Brand Name so no Zithromax and Ive come to live with that and learned to pick out the best generics, but thats crazy.
