It's been a long time since I've taken Flagyl but it didn't cause light stool in me. However, Not too long ago, after a bout of gastritis during which I couldn't eat much, I developed light stool and began having symptoms of malnutrition; thinning hair, pasty skin, etc.

Sometimes people don't eat a well balanced diet when they're feeling bad - which only makes them feel worse. Are you getting enough protein and calcium? Are you eating fresh fruit, grains and vegetables?

"fluconazole may rarely cause serious liver problems.

Check with your doctor right away if you or your child are having more than one of these symptoms: abdominal or stomach pain or tenderness,

clay-colored stools,

dark urine, decreased appetite, fever, headache, itching, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, skin rash, swelling of the feet or lower legs, unusual tiredness or weakness, or yellow eyes or skin."

The liver is very capable of regeneration (healing)in a matter of a few days when you go off the drug, if it is the cause.
