Hello.

Can you get potassium/magnesium glycinate.....

....or do you have to get only magnesium glycinate?

Can't seem to find the combo in glycinate form.

Any recommended brands/dosage for this?

I've never heard of it. You can buy potassium separately.

I don't take it so I don't know any brands. Some people do a cocktail of cream of tartar and orange juice. There may be another ingredient I'm missing.

Yes, as TuTu mentions, you can buy it alone.

I doubt you will find it outside of a small amount in a multi vitamin / mineral mixed in with another supplement, though. It's not likely to be in other supplements that people vary the dose so much as they do with magnesium.

Potassium - while vital and we do need it and it has clear benefits such as help reducing muscle spasms IF CAUSED by potassium deficiency -

- it needs to be in a very determined dose and not more than that specific amount - so be careful when calculating that as too much can cause a heart attack.

It may be best obtained through foods.

Ok....I would just but the magnesium alone then.

My LLMD had given me potassium/mag citrate....but I didn't feel great on that.

I've read that the glycinate is easy on the bowels and a good choice for magnesium supplementation.

I'll just have to figure out the dose.

I think Pure Encapsulations has a decent one.

I'll ask my doc about dosage.

Keebler is right about getting too much potassium. It can be dangerous.

Yeah....I've read that it can be very dangerous if you get too much.

I would always check with my LLMD before playing around with that.....lol!

I see mine this week, so I have it on my list to ask him. [Smile]

Ok....LLMD have me something called Mag-Tab SR.

I believe it is extended release magnesium.

It has great reviews, so hopefully, I'll have some luck.
