SYMPTOMS (ANYONE HAVE ANY TREATMENT OPTIONS?)

LOWER BACK TIGHTNESS AND ELECTRIC ACROSS ENTIRE LOWER BACK

RIGHT HIP PAIN

WE KNOW I HAVE HERNIATED DISKS BUT THIS IS UNUSUAL

UPPER THIGHS ACHE

OFTEN FEELS LIKE I HAVE TO STRUGGLE TO PUT ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER TO WALK, I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT

NAUSEA RECURS REGULARLY BUT NOT EVERY DAY LEADING TO GAG REFLEX//VOMITING

LOTS OF GI GURGLING (ALTHO STOOLS ARE REGULAR AND FORMED, SOMETHING RARE BEFORE GOT TREATED FOR AMOEBA)

I FEEL LIKE SOMETHING IS GROWING IN MY ABDOMEN, MAKING DIGESTION MORE DIFFICULT AND DISTENDING THE STOMACH EVEN THOUGH UPPER GI AND COLONOSCOPY WERE CLEAR

SHORTNESS OF BREATH, JUST WALKING CAN IMPACT, GOING TO THE GYM AND WALKING ON THE TREADMILL HAS BECOME A CHORE AND I’M DEFEATED AFTER A HALF HOUR

SLEEP IS BETTER THAN IN THE PAST EXCEPT THAT I WAKE UP FROM THE BACK ELECTRICITY AND PAIN AND TIGHTNESS AFTER ABOUT 4-5 HOURS, NO LONGER THAN THAT -- AND I OFTEN WAKE UP IN A SWEAT

NEED TO URINATE IS OFTEN PEREMPTORY AND UNFORGIVING

BITTEN BY TICK BEFORE 1980, NO POSITIVE TEST UNTIL 2004

Why are you seeing a nonLLMD tomorrow? Why not see an LLMD who's trained to recognize and treat Lyme and co-infections? I think you need to see a Lyme-literate doctor for treatment. If you need referrals, you can ask in the Seeking A Doctor section.

It's possible you have babesia as well, when you say you wake up in a sweat. That could also contribute to fatigue.

I also get regular chiropractic care because muscle tightness pulls on joints. That helps me walk better.

Antibiotics took down pain for me for 5 years. Now I take capsules of turmeric which greatly reduce pain in muscles and joints.

I get it at the health food store in bulk and dip empty capsules in it and take one in the am and pm. I don't think you can OD on it.

It's a simple and cheap treatment for inflammation, let alone everything else turmeric is good for.

Re GI stuff, doctors are supposed to check us thoroughly. We often pass tests fine even though we are symptomatic.

There's a free online Heal Your Gut Summit going on now - started yesterday, runs through next Monday. 5 speakers a day available for viewing. On the last day, Monday Jan 25, they will make all presentations available for viewing.

Two of us posted some notes from yesterday's 5 speakers in General Questions, labelled NOTES. We will continue to be posting notes. But it's also a good idea to watch for yourself and see what you can learn that might relate.

So sorry you are feeling so rotten.

Here is a site (below- link) to find a doc very familiar with neuro symptoms.

No pain, no drugs, and they are very helpful. Also usually take insurance, and do a full, but not painful neuro exam on you too. Gets you answers you need.

May also help with gut issues and certainly with your pain issues and need to think when you walk.

I had that think before moving legs issue- was very bad with it. It is a neuro problem they can help with.

How about yeast? Sounds like you're ready to explode!

Doxy for the urinary stuff, but I am not a doctor. Yeast may also be responsible for it.

Hoping you are feeling MUCH better soon!

How did your visit go?

Definitely consider yeast .. taking good probiotics will help if that is the problem.

Taking curcumin 3 times a day is what I do for pain and inflammation. Sure keeps my sanity.

I hope you get some help. I'm sure they'll hand you Lyrica or some other unwonderful drug that will further deplete your magnesium levels.

So ... keep taking more magnesium! [Smile]

Parasites..?

Got clean bill re parasites. That MD is waiting for lyme labs but babs and ehrliciosis and bart were negative too

i live in nyc and i haven't been able to find a LLMD...i was seeing one for rocephin injections but they weren't helping, at least i didn't think so

the regular MD has suggested i see his neurologist friend...i will but don't think i'm going to get satisfaction there

i do take curcumin and magnesium...maybe not enough...

there's definitely something going on in lower right back the bones / joints seem to grate and click against each other...

oh the regular md is giving me a sonongram too in the coming weeks...

but boy i gotta say i'm out of breath after just a bit of exertion...he also wants me to get a chest xray for that, although i've had two in the past 15 months.

i really do need an LLMD who is conveniently located in NYC

thanks for all your advice and input!

dan

Hi Dan - you can post in Seeking for doctor referrals.

so really bad electric buzzing all across lower back last night and upper thighs feel numb when there is no ache....

I'm beginning to think the herniated disks have gotten worse but the MD doesn't seem to take the symptoms or the pain seriously

I know it's a chore to get insurance to cover ct-scan or mri and I've had mri's and ct-scans in the past 2 years, so not sure what a new one would show unless all of a sudden I have to to to ER because I can't control my bladder or bowels which would definitely be a sign that something has happened....

I'm taking the magnesium and the curcumin but last night was again one of the worst...

I wish I could figure out the trigger except that lately the pain is 24 hour even if the buzzing isn't...
