My 8 year old has been treated for lyme in the past. Has had 2 tick bites in her life. This past spring was feeling unwell for a few weeks and then a prominent bulls eye appeared.
We treated for 3 months with Ceftin. She is now well.
Except, right afterwards she started complaining of itchy scalp. It continues to this day.
Is this a lyme symptom or co-infection? Or could it be candida/yeast?

This may sound strange, but you might consider rubbing coconut oil on her scalp.
A little goes a long way and it's hard to rinse out, but it may help with her itchiness.

Sounds candida OR toxins OR some sort of eczema.
My little one had itchy scalp when she was toxic, chlorella solved the problem.
Food allergies can lead to eczema, and that itches too. Abx damage the flora and we can get more allergies.
Also candida, because of gut dysbiosis.

I get this sometimes.. it comes and goes with intensity. I have no idea what causes it. I have no spots or areas on my scalp that suggest a skin problem, no flakes, nothing. just itch . its really annoying.
sorry I cna't really help, but I do think it is definitely all the illness stuff doing it .

I agree with momintexas that coconut oil would be good to try since it is antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal, plus it is very rich in nutrients.
Get organic virgin or extra virgin coconut oil that says "cold pressed and unrefined".
I was just reading this article a couple days ago:
California Baby Calendula Hair products work great for this - gentle and effective. I also add a few drops of Neem oil to the conditioner.

I'd change shampoo to something like California Baby Super Sensitive or Rainbow Fragrance free.
She just might have developed some allergies from Lyme.

The change in shampoo is a really good thought. We switched to the Free and Clear line, also had good luck with Aquafor's shampoo for the kids.
