I had been using arteminisin and felt good, but when I thought the babesia was gone, I went off, and three months later, the symptoms returned. I can not do Mepron, nor do I really want to go back on meds. However, I just purchased cryptolepis, and after the first dose last night, I had more night sweats, coughing, and neuro symptoms flared.

I don't know what to make of it. I always am concerned about side effect vs. herxing.

Would be interested in others' experiences.

IMO, taking 1 remedy at the time will not eliminate Babesia
I have been trying for years, it goes down but comes back when you stop or it gets used to what ever you are taking.
Buhner recommends to combine Cryptolepsis with Sida Acuta and that another new herb Alhorea or something

I love cryptolepis. It's my most important herb. I have babesia duncani.

How much did you take?

I felt very little reaction to crypto, side acuta or the mix of the two with alchornea (sp?)

I have taken crypto in the past but very sporadically along with anti- Protozoa prescription meds- didn't work. I mean it diminished Babesia load, but it still there

Right now I'm on Crypto, Sida, artemisia ( whole herb decoction), berberine, A-BAB, rife with Babesia freq, MSM, cardamom based on muscle tests. This is my week 2 on that combo.

Well I herx- I had to increase my binders, but still functional. It is important, as I work full time- no choice.

Will see where it will bring me

I did great with Cyrptolepis. However, if you don't do so well, I'd back down in dose or explore the variables. You don't want to bring on a rough experience but, rather, gentleness is key, I think.

From my file notes, you may find of interest some detail here:

Topic: alcohol free side acuta -- and Is it necessary to take sida acuta with cryptolepsis?

MichaelTampa writes on 29 December, 2013 :

last recommendation from Buhner I saw was to take brucia japonica with crypto.

Also be sure to check for updates to Buhner's books / website writings since the various posts.

Sida plus Crypto was my first symptomatic success. I went from sweating sheets to nothing.

But I don't think the babesia is gone, I think it's just suppressed. I've had a couple of breakthrough sweats the past week or so.

Taking Sida Acuta gave me hot flashes so I knew Babesia was still active. I now take it with Cryptolepis and Alcornea and I'm having no symptoms of Babesia.

Crypto makes me herx. Sweats and heat intolerance.

So do we have to take cryptolepis/sida/alchornea forever then or is it possible to actually get rid of Babesia?

Bumping this discussion in hopes someone will respond to Paleogal's question. I'd like to know the answer too.

Life cycle of blood cells is 120 days plus ..i heard some species can be really resiliant ...and also it is susceptible to rife frequencys . Sorry paleo..have you done the art pulsing ?..some one said they did sweet annie in decotion for long term ..but i wonder about nuerotoxicity

yes I've done art pulsing. Herxed initially, but eventually no real change when I went on/off each pulse - so LLMD took me off.

So it looks like most folks have to take Cyrptolepis for a really long time then? Or forever? I've been on it much longer than 120 days (more like 9 months now). Seems to keep symptoms at bay, but maybe not killing off any more Babesia?

Hasn't gotten rid of mine, though seems to supresss it.

yeah that's what worries me - that I'll just have to take Cryptolepis forever. at least you can get tinctures for ~$10/oz these days.

My partner asked me a very good question back when we discovered Lyme was at the root of my health issues: "how much would you pay to get rid of migraines forever? $1000? $10,000? $100,000?" (assuming, of course, we even had that money!)

Reflecting on that question made me realize that even if there are some infections we can never truly get rid of and I have to take a pill (or some herbs in water) for the rest of my life, maybe that's OK if it suppresses the infection and I can have my life back.

(But it would be really great if someone posted something about how cryptolepis, sida acuta, artemisia, etc actually healed them from Babesia...)

I did the Buhner protocol for babesia, which includes crypto, for 5 months and the symptoms seem to be gone. I make my own tinctures which is a lot more affordable as well as higher quality. I posted on how to do this earlier.
