Hi All: Can anyone tell me if they

experienced this-leg heaviness upon

waking especially with muscle

weakness around knees- and what

remedied it. I also have a good

bit of fatigue and chills at times.

I suspect it could be

Babesia but I'd love to hear others

feedback. Thank you!

Muscle wasting happened to me twice. On Dr. S's checklist, Muscle Wasting is under both Babesia and Lyme. I think leg heaviness comes from weak muscles in the legs. Minocycline fixed it the first time and Cats Claw fixed it the second time.

I hope this helps.

I don't know how helpful this will be, but...

1. Renowned LLMD's say: day sweats, night sweats, and chills, and air hunger (along with extreme weakness) is hallmark for babesia.

2. I have what you describe. The fact is that other medical conditions (even not infectious diseases or things caused by them) can cause what you describe. Keep this in mind.

3. Such things, even by world-renowned LLMDs, have been treated and corrected by medicines having nothing to do with infectious diseases.

4. If you can, bring this up with your LLMD or regular doctor.

Thank you both so much for this. It is good to know that Mino and Cats Claw fixed t for you tulips and thank you Ohioperson for this information as well.

I know I am hypthyroid and I have read that treating T3 with cytomel helped some.

I just got off the phone with my LLMD and I am to start the Zhang protocol soon with Cryptolepis for Babesia and I am supposed to see an accupuncturist to help with addrenals/ thyroid.

Thank you both. Your comments were very helpful to my discussion with my doctor. Wishing you both great success in your healing.... [Smile]

Yes had this heavy leg syndrome during babesia treatment. At the time I was taking a- bab ,boy was that powerful stuff.
It eventually cleared babs after many months and the leg heaviness deceased.
I have a bit of that still but it could be other things like back injuries or remaining symptoms from a brain tumor removal.
Keep treating , I believe you will see good results. Babs....poo.

Minocycline gave me heaviness because of its vertigo side effect.

I had that heaviness when I was first infected. It got better with treatment then came back when I was floxed.
