I have this small bump on my scalp ... like a pimple in size.

I scratched it and it is now scabbing over.

It doesn't itch or hurt (except for when I accidentally scratched it.)

There is no rash.

Are bites typically flat? When I was bit in 2008, I had a rash but no bump.

LLMD took a look during my follow up. Still no rash.

Could this just be an ingrown hair or something?

I just got a bite yesterday. I pulled the tiny tick from my left arm.

Yes, it left a sort of pimple-like red or pink mark. A bump.

That is what happens ALWAYS for me, every tick bite. My daughter is the same (she got her bite just 2 days before mine!!).

It's not exactly itching, but it's uncomfortable. I use some essential oil to calm the feeling (I guess, it's because I'm allergic to most insect bites...).

The rash (bullseye) is not bumpy, just flat.

And it does not come in one day, but in about 10-14 days AFTER the bite.

Or it can come any time DURING lyme disease (or even without symptoms). Or during lyme treatment.

My bullseye rash was purple, much darker in color, it didn't itch, it just kept growing AMAZINGLY fast from a day to the next. It came about 2 weeks after I found the tick.

Shoot. Sorry that you just got bitten! I hope you're ok!

I just can't figure out if this is a bite or something that was already there.

The doc confirmed that there is no rash at the moment ... and hopefully there won't be one.

I'm just so nervous because it could be anything.

My bite was totally flat, but I'm sure people get different results.

Thank you for sharing!

It's worth mentioning that there appears to be a strand of hair actually growing up through the center of the bump.

It looks as if the bump formed around the hair follicle.

I've had it for weeks now.

I noticed that when I accidentally picked off the scab, it was hard to find the bump with my finger.

It seems that maybe the scab itself was causing the raised feeling. Now that the scab is currently gone, I can barely feel it.

I started to feel a little sick, but my husband is currently sick, so I'm likely sick from him.

Doc said to call in a week of I still have symptoms.

Sigh. I hate this.

Crossing my fingers it was just a hair that grew badly!!

Thanks, Brussels! It's almost flat now, and there is no rash.

I'll have my husband check to make sure nothing changes. I'll monitor how I feel too.

I've been lightheaded, but I also have a really stiff/sore neck, and I know that can cause lightheadedness.

Last night, I noticed something on my shoulder after my shower.

The hot water makes my fair skin very blotchy. I've always been that way.

I can't tell if a blotchy area looks a little like a circular outline or not.

I am so paranoid and scared now. I made with a pen a few dots around the perimeter so that I'll know if anything seems to expand.

If you have naturally blotchy skin at times, it's easy to think you see something there.

You know how you can stare at clouds and see shapes? Like that. If you scutinize long enough, you can "see" a circle, etc.

But I think if you have a rash, you know. When I had mine, there was no squinting required.

This just never gets easy, does it.
