Okay. So I've been gluten free and caseine free for a while.

Looks like it would be best for me to do yeast free and autoimmune paleo. Can I do it? I hope so.

Problems are: extremely limiting, tons of ingredients to make aip recipes, tons of time and energy, is not doable thus far, and it overwhelms me.

Has anyone found success finding aip, gf, cf, yeast free recipes that are quick, easy, and satisfying?

Not just salads or bland stuff?

Yes, this is how we are moving towards eating as a family.

Roast a chicken with vegetables underneath it. Just throw it all in a 9x15 and roast on 400 for abt 65 minutes.

Afterwards, make a broth out of the carcass, and add rice or GF pasta and greens to make a soup.

Stir fry chicken and veggies with olive oil, garlic and ginger.

I do eat beans and I like to make them in the slow cooker with bacon and garlic and onions.

I've been trying that and it CAN be hard. My recommendation: if you run out of stuff to eat, don't just stop eating. Eat something outside the diet in those situations, as long as it's healthy. It's hard to work up a bunch of stuff you're comfortable eating. You can get a lot of nutritional deficiencies if you don't have it 100% planned out correctly. I started getting minor neuropathy that went away as I started relaxing the diet.

Also, there are things like the PaleoCleanse shakes that allow you to sort of have a meal out of powder that fills you up when you are too busy to eat. Those are CRUCIAL. Otherwise, you may, again, starve. I've been trying to find some shakes that are like the 100% food ones while being low in sugar and carbs, no luck thus far.

The makers of the AIP recommend being strict on it for a month or two. Then adding things in. So you might only have this difficult period for a month or so, and after that, you don't necessarily need to be on the diet 100% unless you are having reactions to it, thus making it way easier to follow 90% of the time.

Oh, and steaming veggies (if you're going to eat a ****ton of veggies) is pretty crucial. I noticed some stomach pains when eating just raw vegetables and I think my body was having a hard time digesting them. Steaming is way healthier than any other method of cooking.

Thanks so much for the suggestions.

I went to Trader Joe's yesterday and got some riced cauliflower that is supposed to be good and I also bought parsnip chips which are actually DELICIOUS (despite how disgusting they sound).

I think I'm expecting too much out of myself to try and dive into it all at once. I think I have to start with little changes, find easy recipes, and build a repertoire of them.

At least that is the realization I came to after walking up and down aisles of Trader Joes trying to find easier ways to meet all the combined eating goals.

I got a pressure cooker from Tefal (about 60 bucks on Amazon) - love this little kitchen wonder - I can make steamed veggies in no time (3 minutes cooking time after cleaning)-if you clean them well you can use the broth with all the minerals in it, too

sweet potatoes and potatoes (sparingly) steam in 7 minutes - very easy and fast - add olive oil or Hemp or Flax oil and seas salt or Organic Hummus for a quick meal

also, I got Amy's Organic Vegan non-GMO (of course) frozen meals in the freezer - Amy's Vegan meat loaf has a super gravy on it and cooks in 6 minutes in the microwave - it costs 4.50 a box here, but I don't have to cook and one box can be my go to dinner when exhausted enough to not be able to cook
