Parasites! Eosinophils rise with parasites.

I know the best parasitologist around in NYC. Can you get there? He's expensive and not in-network, but he's the best anywhere. PM me, if you want his info.

What else did the pulmonologist say? Actually, that wasn't your pulmonologist saying parasites! But, yes, that's about the only thing that would make your eosinophils go that high.

Minne were that high (actually even higher!) before treating for babesia. They're normal now.

Besides a parasitic infection, your eosinophil count can be elevated because of an allergic reaction like hay fever, asthma, a food allergy or a drug reaction. An allergic reaction is the most common cause.

Some auto-immune diseases can also cause an elevated count. Another cause that is less common is eosinophilic leukaemia.

If the problem persists and all other causes are excluded a diagnosis of hypereosinophilic syndrome can be considered.

I think it is best not to draw any conclusions yet and ask your doctor's advice.
