Hi everyone,

In March I was diagnosed with a UTI.I took antibiotics and it went away.

About a month ago I get another UTI. I was put on antibiotics. For a few days I felt better and then it got much worse. The dr switched my antibiotic to a stronger one. I finished the antibiotic and a day later was in horrible pain again.

Finally went to a urologist who said its the same infection from March. He put me on very strong antibiotics. Last night hardly slept because of pain.

The dr did today ultrasound and everything came back good. He said I need to wait for infection to clear up.

Question to all of you can the Lyme make it harder for me to get rid of the infection? Why is it taking so long ? I never had this issue before? Is it because I'm on different antibiotics for Lyme? Any help advice appreciate it.

So sorry, Doshey. I hope you feel better soon.

Yes, Lyme and cos can make it harder to clear up infections because your immune system is already weakened and fighting those dang buggers.

Did your urine test come up positive for an infection?

Suggestion ... Begin taking D-Mannose twice a day.. No more UTI's since I started doing that 8 years ago.

Doshey, I'm sorry, I'm unclear. Was the urine positive for a UTI or are you waiting for results?

They didn't give me cipro. I was on amoxicillin, biaxin, and now macrobid

Cipro is very dangerous.
