Since I got sick I've had a lot of neck problems; in fact one of the first problems I had was horrible through the bone neckpain. I've had an mri that showed bulging disks and spondylitis ( news to me).

The *entire* area of my neck and shoulders are inflamed and weak. I'm worried I'm actually getting muscle wasting there because I seem to keep hurting my neck and shoulders just hanging around my house.

So...the gerbils were useless when it came to trying to figure out what was really happening to my neck and shoulders. I want to know if the muscles are intact, or disintegrating or what the heck is happening here.

What specialist do I see? Should I try the gerbils again?

A good chiropractor will take xrays and let you know what they see. I see a good one who helps me all the time.

I like turmeric and magnesium for muscle issues, and I guess, collagen support for tissues.

I vote chiropractor too. But, why not combine chiropractic with a gerbil? Best of both worlds.

There are few of these doctors worldwide. They are trained in neurology and are also chiropractors.

Most take insurance and they do an extensive in office exam giving you info you wouldn't know otherwise.

Here is a doctor locator.

https://www.acnb.org/DoctorLocator.aspx

Just type in the INITIALS of your state to do the search.

I don't get the gerbil connection. Did they get any gerbil medical education? Are they licensed to administer any therapy?

Thanks for replies. I just used the locator and there's someone really close to me, so that's a great start.

To be honest I'm stumped when it comes to what gerbils actually know, how they found it out, and especially what they do all day.

The gerbilologists took xrays ..orthro offered mri...i am having the muscle wasting .unfortunately one of lou s gerbils told him by the time you see wasting more than half the nerves are dead ..

i believe they can rebuild. .the fascilations hàve almost stopped for me ..the severe wasting in shoulder back wrists and feet is not getting worse thank goodness

have chirogerbil appt on tue see what he says about my degeneration scoliosis etc etc...with all this i did find that toxo like organism may be at the root ..others here swear that mycoplasma and bart are at the root ..

when i asked Dr M's protoge she said gotta do em all and there is more than one way to skin a cat .

Yep, blue, I believe they can rebuild too. I've seen it.

Trouble with the gerbils is that they just don't want to work that hard.

Jordana...

You could ask about a DMX of the cervical spine. (DMX stands for "Digital Motion X-ray"). It allows for evaluation of the 22 major ligaments of the C-spine (which MRI's or single X-rays often miss).

Also, If you do have another MRI, I would ask about a "vertical" or "upright" MRI, as it may reveal issues that might not show up while you're in a laying down position.

yes absolutely, I've thought about the sitting up mri a lot since I had Lhermittes sign for months and a neurosurgeon telling me he had no idea why. I looked around to find the closest one, which was of course a million miles away - but I've never heard of a DMX of the cervical spine.

Something to Google while I twitch and get kicked by demon baby feet.

New revised playbook being outlined here.

Groovy, do you get manual adjustment or the activator? Not all chiros offer the activator (great for lyme patients).

I've been to that place, it's not bad.

Absolutely right about the fake chiros. That's one reason I've been hesitating.

I've had a lot of neck and shoulder problems with lyme. What I'm doing now is putting a couple of drops of oregano oil into some veggie oil and rubbing it on my neck and where it hurts the most. It helps and, since oregano oil is an antibiotic oil, it lets me know that it is a parasitic issues.
