Hello, I'm pretty new to this site, just found it today. My fiancé has been suffering and been to several doctors with no solutions. We are pretty sure it's going to turn out to be chronic lymes, as she has been diagnosed with that in the past...not by a Lyme doctor.

She has been suffering greatly lately. I spoke with someone earlier on the site to find a doctor whom I'm going to call tomorrow to set up an appointment.

My question right now is: she has been suffering with numerous rashes and what appears to be bite marks of some kind. She thinks they are some sort of parasite inside her skin...other than a tick. Is this a common side effect of Lyme disease? Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, she has severe swelling in both her lower legs, ankles, and feet. Is this also common of lyme?? And if so, does anyone have any home remedies to relieve the pain until we can get to the Doctor??

I understand that any information you give us is not medical advice, we are just looking to get her a little relief until we can get to the doctor to figure out for sure if she has Lyme Disease.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much!!

Mattison1127, I am sorry to hear your fiance' is suffering.

"Also, she has severe swelling in both her lower legs, ankles, and feet.... And if so, does anyone have any home remedies to relieve"

Nettle tea, ginger tea, parsley tea, anything that takes down inflammation that she can tolerate.

Hope something here helps!

So nice of you to help your sweetie pie.

Dandelion tea is a natural diuretic. If you use 1 dandelion tea bag and one green tea bag, the taste is milder. I don't like tea so I load mine with milk and sweeter to get it down.

2 cups of dandelion tea per day for a few days should help with the swelling.

As for rashes and bite marks, not sure. Are bed bugs a problem in your area? Typically you won't see them biting, but will see the marks afterward.

What do the rashes look like? Do they itch? Is she outdoors being exposed to no-see-um's or fleas? Chiggers?

Lettuce no and we will try to help.

The swelling of the legs and rashes you described is what happened to me with fluoroquinolone toxicity.

Has she taken cipro or levaquin in the past (for something like a UTI or sinus infection)?

She can have fluoroquinolone toxicity in addition to Lyme, though Lyme can cause a lot of bizarre symptoms too.

If you think the "bites" could be morgellons, which is common among Lyme patients, then MSM (1-2 grams a day) and artemisinin are very helpful. Best of all is a raw food diet-- all lesions clear and the skin becomes baby soft and younger looking. The enzymes in raw food are amazing for general health.
