Anyone had 14 years of babesia treatment failure and babesia adapting to one medication combo after another until you have no arsenal left. Slowly leaving this life behind.

Babesia was one of the hardest tick born coinfections to treat (for me).
My daughter had less problems with it.
Every new babs infection, it was hell.
It's very 'intelligent', so it keeps changing, evading treatments.
In my experience, the only way out is energy testing, with constant changing of treatment (almost daily changes).
herbs or supplements in combination was the only way out for me.
If I didn't do that, it kept winning. If I did that, it kept losing.
Besides, I had to be on tons of binders, or I would've simply collapsed from babs herxes.
The worst of all herxes.
Every new successful change, babesia changes, and you got to go for it still, until you have zero symptoms. Even symptomless, it can come back.
Cardamon once did the final job. Other time, it was noni tincture.
Just keep treating. There are many people fighting babs and bart for years. I only treated for months, but as I said, I changed my herbs and supplements (sometimes drugs) every single day.

I've just started this same issue. I had great success with mepron and zith at first but developed resistance. I have since switched to Bacrtim DS and am much better. I've read that Bactrim is very hard for Babesia to adapt to as well. If you haven't given it a try I think its worth a go.

I'm not taking anything against babesia for at least 8 or more years. It's TOTALLY gone.
I had a long thread here, explaining what combination of treatments I did then.
But it WAS hard to treat, in the past.

Many of the big hitter medication I took for a long time and babs adapted, and/or I had a reaction to the involved my kidneys not making urine. Horrifying and not tolerable. It is really a catch 22.

Is dapsone used for babs? I thought Dr. H started to use it for lyme.

Infected 15 years b. microti. Treated for three. Babesia responded to treatment at first and then WHAM-O, one day my kidney function went to pot.
Doc won't treat it anymore because every time we try, even different combo of meds, kidney function tests come back abnormal.
(Only when we go after babesia. Treatment combos for the other bugs I have do not cause the kidney issues.)
Babesia seems like a very adaptive bug. Sorry you are struggling with it also. I hope you find a solution.
