I've had 2 abg done in the past 3 months. the first showed my ph at 7.41 and now my ph is 7.49 (through abg calculator online) showed respiratory alkalosis with metabolic alkalosis) what to do about this ? ugh idk anymore. I know how important it is for your ph to be in balance but who to turn to for help? I'm so lost. primary does nothing of course so I'm seeing 3 specialists, have to schedule 2 more, and just don't know if I have the strength to see another.

Alkaline Diet: The Key to Longevity and Fighting Chronic Disease?

From Dr. Axe

Excerpts:

. . . How an Alkaline Diet Works

Here’s some background on acid/alkalinity in the human diet, plus key points about how alkaline diets can be beneficial: . . . .

. . . Green drinks: Drinks made from green vegetables and grasses in powder form are loaded with alkaline-forming foods and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is structurally similar to our own blood and helps alkalize the blood. . . .

[Be sure to read through the entire article, it may take several days yet is well worth it. Not every point relates to everyone yet this is one of the most extensive articles I've seen on this topic.

Also keep in mind that if you eat meats, be sure they are organic and not processed. Grass grazed cattle provide CLA, an important fatty acid that is not in stockyard industrial animals.

Be sure vegetables are plentiful enough to balance meats, still. Eggs, too, as I think they provide key nutrients, should be from free range, organically fed "happy" hens. It matters in the composition of the foods.]
