I took a DNA Connexions test, still desperate to figure out coinfections. It found three things: Lyme f7 ( flagellin) , Lyme OSPA, and Ehrlichia Chaffeensis.

I've taken a ton of minocycline; how the heck do I get rid of Ehrlichia?

Doxy and rifampin will kill it.

According to many of the LLMD's I have seen, erlichia is not hard to get rid of. Doxy and rifampin will eradicate it. And you do not need to take it for months and months like you would for other co-infections. I tested positive for it as well and a few months of doxy and rifampin took care of it.

It seems like it's harder to get rid of than people think. I was on high dose pulsed mino for four months and barely improved.

Pretty tempted to do another 4 month course of mino and rifampin. I just don't know if I can handle being that sick again.

It's the doxy and rifampin combo that does it. Not mino alone. I felt better in 3 days. So you did it with rifampin? There's something about doxy.

No, no rifampin. I have some coming from India that I wasn't going to take because I decided to do BVT only.

Now I might rethink that. I have the drugs practically right in front of me.

All the docs say the same thing for ehrlichia. See p. 25 of Burrascano and this page from another doc:

http://www.lymebook.com/antibiotic-treatment-for-babesia-bartonella-ehrlichia-co-infections

They give you the dosages of doxy and rifampin.

Thanks. I wish I wasn't so scared of rifampin.
