I think that I am clean of lyme since 2013. Could be wrong. I am 62 and you get a lot of common lyme symptoms naturally as you get older. There is one thing that is really weird. The site where the tick bit me will come back at least once a month. It will swell up, itch and tingle. I know the feeling and I will rub it and there it is. (It is behind my knee). At least once a month. It will come up out of nowhere, last less than half an hour, then go away until the next time. Looks very similar to a mosquito bite. Not really a bullseye rash, but it is red in an area of about 6 inch diameter. I do have aches and pains, sleepy a lot, still a bit overweight and other things that could be symptoms. Just wondered if anyone else has had anything like this happen to them. Has anyone heard of anything like this. It is a puzzle to me. Thank you.

If the tick's mouthparts are still in you, that would explain this.
I have a friend who pulled a tick off behind the knee and still has that spot act up off and on. It has been going on for years.
So, if you pulled off the tick and did not patiently allow it to first retrieve its mouthparts from your body, that would explain the itching at the spot and everything else that is happening at that spot.
Perhaps have someone look at the spot with a magnifying glass to see if they see anything there like a little black thing. When a tick left its mouthparts in me, I could see the black thing. Of course, if this is years later, you may not see it as it is likely at least partially dissolved by now.
So, if that is what is in there, that is why it is still aggravating your body at that spot.
