Someone told me tonite about two people who have intermittent Bell's palsy, with no knowledge about whether they have any other symptoms.
Does anyone here know whether it's possible to have Bell's palsy without it necessarily being Lyme, or does it mean Lyme 100% of the time?

It does not mean lyme 100% of the time.
In the state of Maryland, there is a law that if a doctor/hospital diagnoses a person with Bell's palsy, they are REQUIRED to test that person for lyme disease.
So, as you can see, it is important that these folks be tested for lyme. They could also be referred to the symptom list in the Burrascano Guidelines to see how likely lyme is in their case.
I had Bell's palsy for 3 years before it went away on its own. It was mild, called facial drooping. It was bilateral. I never thought of it as Bell's palsy until I was diagnosed with lyme and read Burrascano a few years later and remembered my horrible droopy face that one day disappeared!.
So, it can often be a sign of lyme, even an early sign. If these folks have an unusual, intermittent fatigue, then it is really sounding like lyme disease.
Lyme symptoms can be intermittent at first.

Other infections, such as viruses, can also cause Bell's palsy.

Ok thx, TF and Dekrator - so two people here have it - I don't know them, but others do. Any further advice for dx?

Microscopy. ..spirochetes can be seen ..i have droopy eylid pic from last year ...also dna connexions test is up n coming ..no doc needed urine pcr
