Hi <<<<< LymeNet Family and Researches>>>>>,

On my last visit to the DR. [non LLMD ] .after we talked about the Bronchitis, I mentioned a problem with the last med. test.

The abdominal one. CT I think it was. Anyway, there is a lot of calcium overbuilt up in the aortic veins, arterial etc. The report said severe, and there isn't a lot they can do about it.

It seems to be causing some 'electrical' issues. My heart gets confused as to when it should beat, and how much, so it sometimes wakes me up with rapid beating.

Wondering if I need more supplements. As well as basic Buhner' protocol [reduced to lower dose so I can handle it], such as Cat'sClaw, Resveratrol and Andrographis, I also take Hawthorn berry Turmeric, and Fish/Flax Borage blend.

I take quite a few supplements besides, And I check them against each other or any prescriptions too.

Also, D-3, C, B-12 methlcolbalamin,is on my daily list. What else can I take to keep my heart cooperative.

I don't remember the name of the maneuver, but the Doc' said one simple way to help, when it starts the heavy fast startled beating, is to push the muscles in the manner of having a BM. {sorry if it's TMI].

And be for warned, for those of us w/ IC and other issues it can cause leakage, so when you can getting to the restroom helps.

Any tho'ts on other things supplements excercises and so on that may help ease this.My list of supplements is already very long. However,I'd rather my heart didn't wear itself out.

The abdominal CT,was from throat down, and quite thorough. They didn't really spot anything else. No explanation why I keep getting Bladder and UT infections. Will see the ID doc' next month to try to track the problem and stop it.

I'd apprecaite any tho'ts y'all may choose to share. Thank you so much!

Regarding the heart .. you can also COUGH to get it right again.

My doctor has be on Vit K2 .. it's supposed to keep the calcium out of the arteries.

Hope you can get the bladder figured out. You just can't afford to keep getting infections.

" . . . gets confused as to when it should beat, and how much, so it sometimes wakes me up with rapid beating. . . . "

sounds like muscles spasms and magnesium balance might be off -- or other minerals / electrolytes

. . . but also check all Rx, OTC produces for how they might affect QT Cardiac Rhythm.

Assess for anything stimulation in action. Nothing on your list calls to me in that regard, though, maybe some MSG has sneaked into your diet? Caffeine?

And directly, assertively, consistently addressing any chronic stealth infections that may be in the mix.

Support supplements usually have no direct action in anti-infective efforts. Something like garlic / allicin, though, can help in many ways. It needs to be a top source, though such as Biopure or Hepapro.

Lung issues & "getting Bladder and UT infections" sounds like may be mycoplasma.

As with Garlic / Allicin (not on your list) Andrographis (on your list) is very helpful in a variety of ways. Top dose for that can be up to 16 tablets a day. Not sure about either regarding possible help with mycoplasma, so refer back to that links set.

You might try taking this a hour before bedtime.

And be sure that NO ELECTRONICS (TV, etc.) are plugged in around your bedroom or turn off a power strip they may be plugged into.

Where ever in your home WiFi might be, turn that off, too. Disengage totally. It can be turned back on in the morning (my does this just fine at the power strip -- but I still keep it out of the bedroom).

- even banish those with a battery, Really vital: no computers, laptops, pads or cell phones in the bedroom, etc. They have been shown to affect heart rhythm during sleep. Really.

Check out any "natural" flavors (even in some tea brands) for they can make a heart go a flutter.

As this can help lower excess Cortisol (which can make the heart all "confused" when too high as happens often at night for those with lyme & adrenal issues)

This technique, alone, has helped me settle down a heart "hiccup" various times throughout my life:

By the way, Hawthorn is excellent for heart. That's about the best there is, I think.

Though Resveratrol can be too excitatory for many and redundant in some ways (if taking only for antioxidant purposes). I don't see the point of that if you are already taking Hawthorn, it has good antioxidant action.

http://oneearthherbs.squarespace.com/important-herbs/hawthorn-crataegus-pinnatifida.html

Chapter from The One Earth Herbal Sourcebook (Tillotson, et.al.)

HAWTHORN (Crataegus pinnatifida)

http://www.antioxidants.org/hawthorne

Hawthorne berries are high in antioxidant content. With their distinctive reddish-purple color, they contain a unique mixture of pigment chemicals called flavonoids.

Flavonoids are antioxidants which have the ability to scavenge free radicals in the body, reducing the effects of cellular oxidation and the negative effects of inflammation.

The flavonoid component of the berry also aids in lowering overall levels of cholesterol in the bloodstream and strengthening the structural components of collagen in the walls of our arteries and blood vessels.

If the collagen is stronger, our vessels are less likely to develop any buildup of plaque.

Anyone over the age of 25years old with heart health risks should take Ubiquinol. It is the absorbable form of Co- Q10.

There are countless studies that support the benefits of Ubiquinol. Recommended dose is at least 100mg daily.

I take it myself.

I forgot that one! I take CoQ10 myself. It really helps.

Hello <<<<< Lymetoo, Keebler, and sammy >>>>>,

Thanks for the info' and various links. Lymetoo, I think coughing which happens some anyway w/ the bronchitis is hopefully the safer bet,if not near a restroom.

Keebler, I appreciate the links and input greatly.

Hi sammy, hope you are doing better, I also take CoQ-10. I think I should post my long long list.

Here it is: Cat's Claw,Andrographis, Turmeric, Resveratrol,CoQ10,Alpha Lipoic Acid,Fish-Flax&Borage blend [with Alpha Linolenic Acid, Primrose oil, Black current and etc.], Andographis[helps me ease weather related Migraines],

Blood Sugar Formula w/ Gymnema& more,D-3, B-12 methyl', -System Well Immunity blend [w/cordyceps, berberines,OLE and several other supplements in one]-Garlic, Elderberry, The Hawthorn Berry,Magnesium, Milk Thistle,Papaya enzyme, Sarsaparilla,...

* Then intermittently I pulse: Artemesinin/Sweet Annie, and Wormwood/ Artemesia Absenthium blended with special variety herbs,Teasel root extract,Sida Acuta, and Cryptolepsis, and Ashwagandha. And, a digestive blend,as well as a Probiotic blend...

I've probably forgotten something on the list. I occasionally have used Sovereign Silver, and occasionally Zinc...

It has been interesting checking for cross reactions between the various supplements and vitamins, and between all that and any presciption meds I need to take. I only take two RX now, except for the Bactrim, to fight this infection.

I alternate a couple of OTC sinus meds'[one is low dose Childrens Bendryl. These are per Dr, and pharmacists recommend when I must deal w/ Bactrim and or Uri-stat meds.

Again lots of checking and rechecking against cross reactions,or odd side effects. Will have to check further. Right now I have to find the cross reaction sites again as computer clean-up seems to have dumped somethings, Aarrghh...!!!

I have cut back some on the Coffee, but with Bronchitis, and windy weather it's a toss up. Do I use coffee, and sinus prep's or do I take antisting UT meds? Sometimes is is both.

This infection is annoying, And Keebler, I have wondered for years if I have Myco'Pneumoniae.
I have a sibling who has had problems with Myco'Pneu.

I will check on the various links, TxCoord Now- Trekcoord mentions how important diaphragm exercises are,so that is a good link find!!!

I better post this, and hope it isn't to long...

Jus' Silverwolfi here,

I forgot to mention the D-mannose, which is important with the infections too.

Some of the supplements are counter productive if taken too close together,so I try to manage them carefully, and sometimes I can get a little energy.

I would venture to guess that most people have had a bout of bronchitis or pneumonia due to mycoplasma or CPN.

The infections are SO so very common. They usually cause what doctors call "walking pneumonia".

Strophanthin (Strophantus gratus) QUABAIN Mother tincture is an herb you might check out. I get it from a site in Brazil. Apparently it is quite effective in for heart patients. I have been using it since Feb with out issue and my BP has gone done.

Now that could be coincidental but I think it is helping. A good friend order it a couple of months ago and said it is helping lower his BP also.

Here is some additional info from the website. Note you must turn the website language to English unless you are fluent in German;

" 3. The regular, clinical use of oral g-strophathin (a cardiac glycoside derived from the West African plant strophanthus gratus):
◾Prevents lethal myocardial tissue acidosis, and thereby
◾Substantially reduces the incidence of myocardial infarction and completely prevents infarction deaths."

The site is teebrazil.com. I have used them twice without issue. I have no affiliation or incentive but found them through an MD that uses it significantly in his practice. If you want his name just PM me.

Internal inflammation is hard to deal with and this along with other herbs and supps. that have been posted above seem to be working for me.

My Blood Pressure is at the point where I weaned off the BP meds over about 3 months. Am in the normal range currently.

All the Best, MattH

Hello, wanted to get back in sooner, down to one laptop again [new to us, laptop, still under it's 30 day warranty had a hard drive crash, so that is being fixed.].

<<<<< sammy, MattH, bluelyme, and lookup >>>>>.

Thanks for the replies and info' I'll be checking into the various links.

I greatly appreciate it. It is so annoying to actually get to sleep only to wake up with my heart pounding.Or be relaxing reading, researching and so on,and boom my heart just seems to suddenly beat faster and faster.

Hopefully some of these will help. I'll be checking prices, and where to find them, if someone here is carrying the items locally.

I'll check back in later... Jus' Silverwolfi here

Oh Dear,<<<<< LymeNet Family and Researchers >>>>>,

Sorry to be off this long, more Laptop issues, and other things happening, trying to get over Bronchitis among other things.

Hopefully I can research this some more soon, more issues occurring. So I am trying to take things slowly. A little weary at this point.

Will explain more on general board. Be back in a bit, hopefully sooner than last time.

Jus' Silverwolfi here,

A matter I am noticing, that I don't know if,is heart related or not. I am craving Salt. I mean a lot of salt.

We have been using Himalayan Salt, we both enjoy it. Now I do temper it, so as not to overdo, but I do crave it. Checking the Label, 100% Real Himalayan Pink Rock salt with 84 minerals. Evidently my body needs it right now.

I was scanning thru the info' here, and saw the Celtic salt mention which made me think about this.

TxCoord is finding he is needing a bit more salt too. We are still Low Carb diet wise, mine is modified. I eat some fruits, apples[not to tart], bananas, blueberries too. And of course Green- beans too, and occasionally Yams.

Hmmm, thinking of Thanksgiving now Duck, stuffed with apple[catches excess fat, and gives a delightful flavor.

Anyway, back to the heart issue, and heart beat.It still goes odd Whoppty-copter sometimes. It is some better tho', strangely, taking ABX for the bronchitis seems to have helped some lately Tho' I still get headaches from the ABX, not fun.

Gotta close for now, and lay out my supplements and meds for the week. I am keeping in mind, to check some more to make sure the
meds/supplements are not competing and making my heart dance a jig while I am trying to sleep.
