i'm asking this for a fellow sufferer who has yet to come on this site.. and is very overwhelmed. What do you sufferers of Babesia do for nausea? I'm not sure what ABX she is on... but supposedly has suffered from nausea even before diagnosed.. Can anyone give me ideas for this young woman??

Nausea can be a common symptom of Babesia. Ginger capsules (and likely fresh ginger) and papaya tablets can both greatly help nausea. They are both inexpensive. Most health-food stores carry them.

I had terrible nausea before diagnosis. Good lyme treatment got rid of it quickly. And, good babs treatment helps also.

Ginger tea really helped me through it.

I had to eat frequent small meals (every 3hrs) of balanced ratio carbs/ protein to keep my blood sugar stable. This helped to keep the nausea at bay.

If I did not do this I felt terrible! I needed the carbs with the proteins, not just proteins- veggies- fats.

Ginger did not help at this time.

If diet is not enough, she might ask her doc for RX oral dissolving zofran. It works really well.
