Hello,

I've been taking Adrenevive for a while now. I recently ran out and forgot to order more right away.

I've noticed anxiety the last few days... which I haven't felt in a while.

Can the anxiety have popped up because I stopped the supplement?

I did just order more. [Smile]

Adrenals are funny bizness...whats in that supplement..?
recently i heard too thing a)holy basil can reduce cortisol which is a inflammatory response. .depends if you make too much or too little (you would think with lyme too much unless the lil guys are already taxed like a udder with no milk ...)
B) that when the liver runs out of glycogen the adrenals kick off to compensate ...i was waking up at night with tacing heart for no good reason. ...idk if that helps

Hi Blue -

My LLMD had put me on it to level out my adrenals.

Before he did, I was feeling anxious (jittery might be a better word?) in the mornings and very tired around dinner time.

He said my cortisol levels were too high in the morning and dropped low in the early evening ... explaining the feelings I was getting.

It has:

Ashwagandha Root Extract
Skullcap Root Extract
Eleuthero Root Extract
Rhodilo Rosea Root Extract
L-Theanine
Phosphatidylserine

I've been in remission for a while now and am not on any other Rx. Only certain supplements (magnesium, probiotic, etc.).

Thanks so much! [Smile]

Yeah for remission. Those are the words we all want to hear. Let us know if your anxiety goes away once you re-start the supplement?

It may just be that your body wasn't use to making some of the things it was getting from the supplement and now it has to figure that out. . . .

or maybe some of the herbs are stimulants (not sure. I don't know my herbs very well) and when you cut off so quickly, your body reacted. I really don't know, just some thoughts.

Keep us posted.

Great insight, HW88....you could be right.

I've been on it for some time now, so maybe people typically wean off if and when they stop.

You bring up great points ... thank you!

Yeah, the thing with remission that's so strange is that after being seriously ill for a long time,

I thought....regular sick type of stuff will never scare me again.

Yet, because of what I went through, certain symptoms scare the living daylights out of me and make me wonder....

Is this Lyme? Is this a flare? Please, not again. I can't do that again, etc.

The fear is still there ... it's just triggered by different things now.

Oh, the fun we have. [Big Grin]

I hope to have my order in a few days, so I'm very curious as to whether starting back up will help.

Jwick25, may I ask how you made it to remission? Antibiotics, herbs, combination? Just curious.

I totally think I will be afraid of this for life. It is worse than you can ever describe to someone.

You are totally justified in your reactions.

HW88 - Of course! I was on antibiotics and supplements for Lyme/Bart/Babesia.

I believe it took about 1.5 - 2 years of treatment.

I still deal with symptoms that seem to have lingered ... or pop up from time to time.

Anxiety, low energy, etc.

You're right. It is so much worse than we can describe.

I remember once explaining it to someone, and I thought ...

...this almost sounds like I could be describing a really bad cold. It's hard to put into words.

I hope that you're hanging in there and on your way to feeling better.

Are you currently in treatment?

Thank you jwick.

Yes, I'm being treated with antibiotics. I'm beginning to see some gains in the right direction, which is hopeful. It is just so so slow. Thank you for telling me how you made it to remission.

One day at a time, right?
