That I see mentioned here? What are the names of some, and what do they do? Thank you!

Binders bind with toxins which are Lyme poo and the body gets rid of them as waste. One that I know of is Chlorella. Toxins make people very sick. Someone more knowledgeable than me will see this and provide more info.

Like tulips say.

They bind the toxins and help remove them from the body. Most of the symptosm for Lyme and co are due to the toxins of the bugs (or the bugs dying) and not due to the bugs themselves.

Binders are also good for mold / mycotoxins. I'm on a bunch now.

Rx Binders are usually Cholestyramine and Welchol.

Alternative binders are Charcoal (like Takesumi Supreme), Bentonite Clay, Micro Chitosan, and others.

See page 13 of Burrascano Guidelines, "Borellia Neurotoxins"

http://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf

"It has been said that the longer one is ill with Lyme, the more neurotoxin is present in the body.. . . . . Two prescription medications that can bind these toxins include cholestyramine resin and Welchol pills."

Read the entire section to get a good understanding of the concept.

Thanks Tulips, BCB & TF. hmm, I don't see anything like that in my huge box of supplements and RX from my LLMD. Resveratrol? Or Pinella, Paisley or Burbur. The latter are all drops and I understand them to be detoxers. But not the same as binders, eh?

Burbur, Pinella and Parsley are all detoxifiers from Nutramedix (Cowden protocol). They can be taken to help relieve a healing crisis (Herxheimer) reaction On that protocol, there is a Nutramedix zeolte product that would qualify as a binder.

I use a bentonite clay with either zeolite or chlorella added and take the mixture shortly before bedtime in order to avoid binding herbs, supplements or medication.

Anything that helps you to sweat is also good, so Epsom salt baths with ginger or mustard powder may help, as may teas that help you to warm up, such as ginger. You can add lemon or other spices to a ginger tea or also to a green smoothie.

Resveratrol, if in the from of Japanese knotweed, is antimicrobial with other health benefits also. It is central to master herbalist Stephen Buhner's protocol. Resveratrol from red wine is not as recommended by SB as the knotweed.

Ironic--I had an appointment with my LLMD and he recommended Burbur, Pinella and Parsley from Nutramedix to help w herxes. I'm already on so much and said I was reluctant to take more stuff. Mom chimed in and said, well if it helps with the herxes, why not?

So, my LLMD said why don't I try just the burbur from nutramedix from now. I ordered it off Amazon.

I hope you find it helpful. You can take it more frequently during a Herx.

me - the first time I did the drops- ten drops of all three - in just one oz of water - I felt more energized than I had felt in years

Me, let me know about burbur. I actually have some, but the one time I took it, it really wasn't good.

Not sure if it was the burbur or if it was just coming on anyway....

I know what you mean about feeling like you are on so much already. I feel like a walking pharmaceutical.

I went from 0 prescriptions to it feels like a thousand. [Wink] One day we will be off them!

Me: REAL!

ukcarry: thanks! How do you know all this? Very helpful. I wonder why my LLMD has prescribed no binders. I'll ask her.

Haha! Thanks, jsnyde2. Do you recommend all three?

I only know about these particular herbals because I was on the Cowden Protocol for a while (wish I could claim more expertise!!).

Burbur and pinella Are designed to work as a combo and you could always try buying or growing fresh parsley to add to juices, smoothies, soups. You can freeze chopped parsley or add it to water or olive oil in ice cube trays.

I do think UKcarry is right.

Instead of concentrating so much on killers, concentrate your efforts / resources / protocols on cleaning.

Herxes are the MAIN gun many pathogens have against us.

On top of binders, concentrate on liver, kidney, gut and lymph too.

You just need 10% of killers. 90% should be aimed at CLEANING and SUPPORTING the body, in my opinion.

Beginners will take 90% of killers and 10% of supportive stuff.

Result: collapse for most, in a matter of weeks or months.

People swim in toxic juice, till the tip of their noses, inside their brains, their eyes, even on the scalp.

You feel it all over, in and out, inflammation to the top, extreme fatigue, more neuro symptoms, autonomic nervous system collapse, ...

....non-stop overlapping symptoms, new symptoms arising, organs collapse, digestion collapse, nausea, allergies, ...

...blood pressure changes, extreme cold, heart symptoms, headaches, breathing problems, more parallel infections that become more and more stubborn....

Some people are of course luckier with better detox systems.

But most of us, I believe, fell sick with chronic infections BECAUSE we can't detox well.

An LLMD that does not concentrate on at least 50% on cleaning /binding toxins should be dumped (sorry to say that, but that's just my opinion).

In my view, finding killers is easy job.

Finding cleaning substances, strategies, therapies, treatments is the hardest, as what we need keeps changing.

And each person is different and will need different support. And that will keep changing, until you are healthy again (as toxins from pathogens change, your body changes with treatment).

While Google knows more than most LLMD on the topic 'killing', [Smile] it is very hard to find good doctors who know about supporting cleaning / binding / detox organs.

Google can't do much for us on that topic either. That is where you need a real doctor!

Many people do not want to add binders, because they are taking already 'too much stuff'.

It sounds so wrong to me, a bit like someone that does not want to add real food because they are taking too many vitamin pills and they feel like real food would mess up with their health.

I'm exaggerating, but that is how I truly feel.

I have an aunty with liver cancer. I told her to take binders (chlorella) and her answer was the same: I'm already taking too many drugs, I don't want to add one more.

Chlorella is the only REAL food, possibly, that a person would be ingesting the whole day, for most people!

I won't discuss with her, but it hurts my heart to see loved ones going the chemical path. Or further poisoning-path (all drugs poison to different degrees).

Only binders + supportive supplements / herbs / therapies can give you energy and quality of life back.

If you are a beginner, continue killing only.

If you already experienced the failure of killing-only approach, change approaches and shift to cleaning-binding-supporting your organs, detox pathways!

It's the only thing that pays back and warrant a long term healing, in my opinion.

It's what I would tell my parents, brothers, family members.

--------------------------------------------

My prayer of the day: 'Herxes are the MAIN gun many pathogens have against us.'

If beginners knew about that, that would save a lot of time, money and suffering!

Brussels: Very interesting and insightful. Thank you

me: I recommend all three, cuz I've never taken them apart from each other. I do as I'm told, and that's what LLMD told me to do. Haha - just kidding, I am not that obedient normally, but in this case I am.
