but if it kills lyme, my lyme levels are so high that I won't be able to get the neurotoxins out from killing lyme outfast enough, and I'll have to stop taking it, or the toxins will make me nuts.

All the infections, gut and otherwise, have become unmanageable. If the c. diff. isn't behind it, and if I can't get a handle on the c. diff., I'm dead.

Nobody can hurt like this. Nobody. All I can think about is going off my diet in response to the umanaged nerve pain lyme and coninfs. causes me.

Normally oral Vancomycin won't be absorbed systemically.
So it won't kill the Borrelia bacteria.
It works in the gut only.

Maybe the c.diff is causing the nerve pain?

C Diff can cause so many problems that I think mimic lyme.

Vanco is a good option for C Diff.

GVS, expect improvement!

Also, if your doctor didn't tell you, you must take one Florastor tablet every day while on the Vanco.

I had C diff and first gastro wasn't experienced enough to cure me. Then, I got a great gastro. He said that he gives Vanco for 3 weeks and then tapers it off. Also, he is the one that said to take one Florastor daily while treating with Vanco.

It worked wonderfully for me! So, expect yourself to get better!

And, just want everyone to know that I got the C diff after an ENT got too aggressive with antibiotics for a stubborn sinus infection.

I never got C diff during lyme treatment.

It is now 12 years since I completed my lyme (and babs and bart) treatment. So, people DO get rid of lyme and cos and go on to live a normal life.

TF .. Did your ENT give you clindamycin?

I don't use antibiotics to treat lyme. Instead, I think I got c. diff. after abdominal surgery, a right hemicolectomy to heal a cecal volvulus (twisted, unanchored colon)which was strangling my large intestine.

P.S. -- I'd like to take saccromyces boulardii, but stay allergic to Brewer's Yeast, which is in the same family, so am leary of taking it.

Lymetoo--no. First he gave me many months of inhaled antibiotics of many types (I had MRSA and a few other infections). Then, when I still was testing positive for infections, he got impatient and gave me a humongous dose of Augmentin to take daily.

The dose was so high I looked it up on the Internet to be sure it was legitimate. It was the very highest dosage allowed.

That did it to me. A week or 2 after finishing the Augmentin, the diarrhea started.

TF, why Florastar?

I did take probibotics and S Boulardi while taking Vanco. Just kind of curious.

THE MICROBES IN YOUR BODY THAT YOU COULD'T LIVE WITHOUT

For a healthy body full of ‘good’ bacteria, you may need to do a lot more than eat a probiotic yoghurt, as Adam Rutherford discovered when he took a rather uncomfortable test.

Be sure to avoid Rx in the PPI classification. These can create havoc for c. diff. Why? Answers in thread below.

Florastor also discussed here - but foods such as in article above are really where the focus should be.

tickalert, the doctor said Florastor. I didn't ask him why.

Florastor has documented proof that their product WORKS. I think it's in Pub Med somewhere.
