Hey everyone,

I'm posting today bc I've utterly had it with my GI problems. Everything I eat makes me extremely bloated. I get terrible pains, I go from constipated for a week to a week of diarrhea and then right back to constipation. I'm burping like a maniac am it's completely involuntary.

I'm so tired of feeling so uncomfortable. I'm at the point where I hate eating. I hate constantly feeling so full even though I barely ate. Or feeling like I'm constantly going to throw up.

What can I do to eliminate this?! It's such a nuisance

Also, im gluten and dairy free. It's helped tremendously but now anything I eat might as well contain gluten and dairy

My recommendation for you is to do a skim milk fast. I find it always helps clear my system up in about a week. Your body doesnt have to spend resources digesting food and itll heal your intestines. I use Organic Valley Lactose Free 0%. But you cant eat anything else. Drink milk whenever you are hungry

Have you explored the possibility of candida, SIBO and MCAD?

here is info on MCAD ...

As odd as it may sound, sipping hot black pepper tea can bring fast and sustained relief to bloated stomachs.

"Because black pepper is a carminative, it discourages intestinal gas from forming, and as a bonus, the outer layer of the peppercorn aids in the break-down of fat cells. It warms the body so it promotes sweating, which helps rid the body of toxins."

Look into SIBO. I had trouble eating and couldn't take probiotics without feeling bad and the root of the problem was SIBO. SIBO was even causing histamine intolerance.

To get rid of it, I chose to go the herbal route instead of abx. I used colloidal silver first, then berberine, neem. and oregano oil. After some time, I started taking one tbsp of sauerkraut juice per day.

Over a period of a few months, I built up to a shot of either sauerkraut juice, beet kvass, or kimchi juice. I still can't actually eat sauerkraut or kimchi. Recently I started taking Primal Defense. It's a soil based probiotic. Regular probiotics still make me sick.

It's a process healing the gut. Parasites or other infections could also be a cause.

sixgoofykids....what happens when you take the probiotics. I can not tolerate probiotics either and I have yet to figure out why. I get very bloated and it's very painful. It seems the more I cleansed the worse it actually got.

I had some sort of an overgrowth of bacteria show up on the Organic Acid test, but then negative on the breath test. Then my Dr did a stool test and nothing major showed up on that either.

In order to be considered pathogenic, the score is 4. I did score a 3 on a few bacteria. And good bacteria is considered a 4 and I scored 1 for Acidophilus and 3 for Bifidobacteria.

I ended up treating for SIBO anyway for about 6 months, with Silver and Oregano Oil and HCI, but I still can not tolerate probiotics.

I have read in a few places that the more you react to probiotics, the more you actually need them. It makes sense to me because it seems like the more I cleansed the worse the tolerance became.

So it could just be that I need to work my way up and hopefully eventually will be able to tolerate more. I'm just wondering what others thoughts on this are. I ran the idea by my ND, but he said NO!

At this point I am cleared of yeast and never tested positive for parasites.

I can tolerate probiotics better with food. My ND wants me to try some sauerkraut but I am terrified, since the are supposed to have way more live bacteria in it.

Thoughts anyone??

You might find Restore helpful for healing your gut.
www.restore4life.com

One can start out with just taking 3 drops a day. A normal dose is 1 tsp. 3 times a day.

For relief of bloating - homeopathic Gasalia by Boiron. It might help get you through your experiments of trying different probiotics with less discomfort.

Thanks lookup, I'll check it out, and good idea about the bloating remedy. I do have something that I use in that situation it's just not enough to really help as it can be so painful that I can't even get comfortable or sleep.

That's what makes me so afraid to try some of these things, it's not just your normal gas and bloating. It can be extreme to the point I will even run a fever.

The remedy in Gasalia for extreme trapped gas is Raphanus. Might be good to order a 30c potency to meet the symptom more head on. That remedy is only a 6c in Gasalia.

Pebbles, I get bloated by several pounds and get stomach aches/diarrhea. I also get disabling fatigue. It is not a candida die off.

If you have SIBO, it's not better to take the probiotics and feeing bad isn't a good sign.

I was not given the breath test, we went based on symptoms and reaction to treatment for the SIBO. We had treated other gut infections that I had tested positive for but I was still feeling bad. I tried low FODMAP and had such great results, so we treated for SIBO.

To rebuild the gut, after some time treating the infection, I started with a tablespoon of sauerkraut juice per day. Sometimes I use kimchi. It just depends on which is available at the store. I built up to a shot a day over a period of months.

I couldn't handle more probiotics than that without getting symptoms.

Today, I take Primal Defense for a while. Then I'll do gut shots for a while. Today I drank a kombucha, for the first time, I tolerated a whole bottle.

I also took Restore for a while. I do better if I alternate things rather than try to take a bunch of things all at once, so I currently do not take Restore.

Thanks sixgoofykids!

I did treat for about 6 months and I used to look very bloated all the time and the bloating has gone way down so I don't think I have it anymore.

That's a good idea about the juice, I think I may give that a try. That and the Restore product. Thanks for the help!!

I think those of us with sensitive or previously infected guts just have to take it very slowly with probiotics. They're not as benign as we think they are!
