Bactrim is great but ideally you want to combine Bactrim with a macrolide. So Azithromycin
Common treatment is: Bactrim DS 2 x a day, Azithromycin 500 once a day
A lot of people also substitute Biaxin (Clarithromycin) for Azithromycin. They are both related but Biaxin supposedly works a bit better on the Lyme in addition to the Bartonella. The only difference between Azithromycin and Clarithromycij dosing is that you do Clari 2 x a day instead of 1
