The makers of this probiotic product claim significantly more success in helping with fungal and bacterial -- including c. diff. -- infections than regular probiotics.
I'm about to start my third round of Vancomycin for c. diff., am losing ground, and would appreciate input from someone who has tried this product.
Thanks, GVS

GVS, I had c. diff and the ER doc was my first doc for it. Then, he referred me to a gastro who was on the ER staff. That gastro was no good.
But, once I was able to get in with a really good gastro, I got rid of c diff with no problem.
There is going to be a wait to see a good gastro. So, start asking around to find out who is really good in your area.
The key to getting rid of c. diff according to the doc who cured me is 3 weeks of vanco and then taper it off. Take Florastor every day also. That was it. The Florastor and the 3 weeks of vanco with a tapering off did it for me.
I had it for months while I treated with a junk doctor who would never give me vanco for a long enough period. It was ridiculous.
My good gastro told me that if the 3 weeks + of vanco with Florastor did not do the trick, he would then go to a fecal transplant, done at a local hospital. I was going to use my husband's stool for the donor.
But, it turned out not to be necessary.
Once I found the really good gastro, I stretched out my vanco so that it would last until my appointment with the new gastro.
In other words, I didn't take the proper daily dose. Instead, I took less so that I would not have to entirely be off the vanco prior to my new doc appointment.
That worked well. It prevented me from suffering the horrible c diff diarrhea, even at the lower dose. I told the new doc what I did, and he didn't criticize me for it.
He obviously thought my previous gastro was a jerk. He knew him as they both worked at the same hospital. He could hardly contain himself when I told him what it was like treating c diff with that guy!
The doc is the key to getting rid of this, my friend. The gastro who did it for me was the head of Gastroenterology at our local hospital. If you want to ask me any questions, I will be happy to answer you.
Oh, and also, you obviously have to stop the antibiotics that gave you the c diff in the first place. You have to stop ALL antibiotics that you were taking and just take what is prescribed for the c diff.

Definitely take FLORASTOR as TF said.
Best of luck with it and any other probiotic you choose.

I'm severely allergic to yeast, and would like to take Florastor, but it isn't indicated for people with yeast allergies, as it is a form of yeast.
My path will have to be different, though i appreciate your input.
