I've been a Lyme success story for over 6 years. Had gone back to "normal" with work, working out, raising family.
Not really having any issues...until...about 8 weeks ago. Started hormone replacement therapy and...had to get injections in my knee (synvisc) for mobility.
All of a sudden...I started with this dry feeling in fingernails, freezing cold hands/feet, tinnitus, sensitive teeth, headache, fatigue....aarrgghhh.
Thyroid tests are normal. No new tick bite that I know of. I feel like it is related to adrenal fatigue, but why? Did the injections stir the pot?
Just made an appointment with LLMD today. It feels Lyme related to me. Any advice or suggestions are welcomed. Lymetoo I hope you remember me friend!

Hi, Geneal. Can you ask the doc if some type of steroid or other immune suppression med was added to your injection?
I would start with that question. If so, that can be enough to bring back the lyme.

I asked prior to the shots; it is Hyaluronic Acid which is made from a rooster's comb. According to my ortho, there was no steroid addition to the shot. Swollen thyroid with nodules found last week. Scheduled for a biopsy on one nodule that is large enough to aspirate. Doctor didn't seem too worried (I am of course) and....blood work was normal for thyroid. 1.95 for TSH and 6.8 for T4. I thought thyroid too.

Did you have your free's tested? I was on here for years under another name, and was not able to remember it to get back in here.

No free's but I have only been dealing with Ob and now, Endo. I dug deep and made an appointment with LLMD. Been so long, I am considered a "new" patient. I've been looking at symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue and match a lot of them. I hope we both get this figured out soon.

I've finally become thyroid disease educated. Buried under all the lyme & co was a very mistreated hypothyroid illness.

Sorry you are dealing with this. There is a lot of good advice here.
Definitely get your Free T3, Free T4, and thyroid antibodies tested. There is a lot of room to work within the result ranges.
You seem to be covering all bases which is good. I hope you can figure out what is going on soon.

Sounds like the injections affected you.
Responding to the discussion about candida - it can be tested for in blood and stool. If anyone has it and wishes to treat, go slow. I experienced an enormous yeast die-off from just one caprystatin pill. Am saying test a very tiny amount of a yeast treatment.
Another way is to go on a step-down diet - no sugar, but keep fruit for around 10 days, then when the craving for sugar goes down, then drop the fruit and eat a nonyeast diet.

Sorry you are going backwards for some reason. You mentioned you also started hormone replacement therapy about the time you began having problems.
I have no clue why you have those symptoms, but I do know the wrong hormones can make you miserable. REALLY miserable.
I have such a bad reaction to any kind of estrogen there is no doubt that messes me up, but do very well with natural progesterone.
Just don't want to overlook that possibility in your case.

I am so glad so many of my friends are still here.
I had my nodule on my thyroid aspirated today..no fun.
I should get those results later this week.
I have backed off estrogen..have only been on it for a short time and still have hot flashes.
I am looking into natural progesterone. I am open to all possibilities at this time.
I will let you all know what my biopsy results are.

Because of the timing, I would blame the HRT or the knee injection.
