I was able to access my old account, so now I don't look like a newbie [Smile]

I am on full HC replacement for primary Addison's disease, and I have Hashi's.

I had a health crisis about 2 months ago (3 adrenal crises in 10 days) which put me in the hospital for a bit. Since that time, I have really been struggling. I was referred to a local endo as my treating physician is out of state (11 hours away).

I have been on NT for years, although my ft4 has never been above 0.83, so I have not been optimal. my ft4 stayed at 3.7 to 3.9. My reverse t3 has never been above 12.

I saw the endo 3 weeks ago; because my TSH was suppressed (0.01), she is convinced I am hyper because in her mind only TSH is important. I did tell her that I wanted my 3's and 4's optimized and not just "normal". Her solution was 75mcg of levo and check in 6 weeks.

I called her office Wednesday as I am now crying ALL the time, and am having some nervousness as well. I feel hopeless at times and am scared I am not going to get my life back. I had labs pulled Thursday, but I am sure that it will be Tuesday before I get them with the holiday.

Now I am concerned that maybe my Lyme/co's have relapsed and I am going to have to deal with that. She SURE won't believe that.

I have been on an ssri for years; I am sure many of us are...........I am wondering if I should also see about adding to it given how depressed I currently am.

Looking for advice, support, encouragement......I am just so frustrated that one day I was functioning alright and the next day not........and have not been since.

TL: It sounds like you need a holistic endoricrinolist that will treat the symptoms not just labs.
My tsh is suppressed as well and I'm surely not hyper- I present as still struggling with hypo but don't want to up my meds further. I'm on NT as well- 185 a day. That's a good bit.

I'd read up if I were you on AI thyroid issues and get this solved first. It may calm everything else down. Yes in the interim of finding a holistic endo you may want to discuss ssri support. I did the same thing, crying and all when a by the labs endo lowered me. I went into their office crying- and it's been a while now, but I found a holistic endo. I would even think a trained naturopath might be able to help too. They do test me every so often for bone loss because of the suppressed tsh but it never comes back positive. Hang in there! A book by Elle Russ-The Paleo Thyroid Solution may be a good read. You seem more informed than I am- that book is on my to do list soon. God speed!

You WILL get your life back! Rome wasn't built in a day but bit by bit- you'll get there. So sorry you are going through this!
