My LLMD is putting me on them and I'm wondering about their effectiveness. Have read up on Artemisinin in Buhner's book, but the others I'm researching elsewhere before deciding if I want to go on them.

He's also putting me on oregano oil (liposomal). Any thoughts?

I'm on Namenda right now, prescribed 5mg 2x/day. Initially I remember it making my mood better (I felt happier), and I had a little less brain fog.

After about 2 weeks though, taking 10 mg/day I became extremely fatigued. Moving down to 5mg/day helped that for the most part.

-----

In dementia (Alzheimer’s specifically), it has been observed that β-amyloid (Aβ) 1-42 peptide accumulates in the brain. After 14 days, either Memantine or Lithium alone (5mg/kg each) were shown to ameliorate spatial memory damaged caused by Aβ1-42. Even better it was noted that both Lithium and Memantine in combination, or just Memantine alone, were able to reverse decreases in IL-4 [mediates cytokines] in the frontal cortex. Again, in combination or Lithium or Memantine alone, reductions were observed of IL-1β in the frontal cortex and hippocampus and levels of TNF-alpha [pro-inflamatory cytokine] decreased.

Haven't really noticed an improvement in memory in my case and have been on it a little over a month.

My son tried LDN, but it didn't do anything to help with his pain.

Did not use Namenda.

Was prescribed Mepron and Artemisinin for Babesiosis by his LLMD and this combo helped.

I have been taking LDN for several years. I can't say I notice anything dramatic but since it is purported to enhance the immune system, I have stayed with it.

I have also been on LDN for years. I have not seen any improvement on it either, but like lightfoot, I know it is supposed to help the immune system and lower inflammation so I stay on it.

MY SISTER... on the other hand, found it EXTREMELY life changing. She had a lot of lyme/m.s. style symptoms and it all cleared up. What little symptoms are left are quite livable, and she never relapses.

AND MY MOM... has M.S. for years. Since taking LDN she has had no relpases. only progression from aging I would say! GREAT STUFF for my family!!!
