Not sure how long it's been out, but there is now an ivermectin topical for treating headlice because of permethrin resistance.
Mosquitoes still find me delectable despite application of various topicals and consumption of raw garlic, but headlice can be treated with pure henna. The only drawback is it permanently stains hair red.

Are there any good alternatives to permethrin? Or multi-chemical combos?

I wrote to tom grier about this a few months ago cuz I am very careful and both the dog and I have had attached ticks
He didn't get back to me but I head they have a few new products that are frfrom Permethrin with something added. A vet told me. Awhile back frontline stopped working for same reason
