Has anyone been able to get Factive 320 pills lately?

Has it been discontinued???

Last I read it is tied up in a legal battle over who has the right to manufacture it. The only place to get it would be from another country.

Dangerous stuff .. isn't it a fluoroquinolone?

When I took it, briefly, many years ago, it was like a miracle for my neuro stuff! But then I had double vision and the ligaments in my thumbs went kaput!

Tendon ruptures (serious!) have happened to me 3 times with fluoroquinolones, even at a tiny dose, or briefly. No more for me!!

I had an invasive bladder test done less than 2 years ago, and just beforehand they gave me a dose of abx w/out telling me what it was (can't believe I didn't ask; I was so surprised by it). It was Cipro, I found out later!! I was furious.

Some people do ok w/ them though.

Those have been on my NO list for about 12-14 years. I fear the day that I will be "forced" to take them.

If anyone ever tries to "force" you to take one (not sure how they can), you can assure them that you will sue them for the damage done to you!!

My concern is an infection that nothing else will work for. MRSA would be one such infection. Pretty easy to acquire it if you end up in the hospital.

Oh. In that case (God forbid), maybe vancomycin works---not sure.
