After several years of doing salt/C without taking enough neurotoxin binders, multiple indicators show I've got a surplus of Lyme neurotoxins recirculating in my body that are contributing to things being unmanageable.
I need to take some neurotoxin binders, but unfortunately my cholesterol, even before Lyme, runs abnormally low. I can't find any neurotoxin binders, especially Cholestepure (primary ingredient Beta Sitosterol)and Cholestyramine that don't bind and lower cholesterol.
Does anyone know of neurotoxin binders that pull Lyme toxins out of fat that don't lower cholesterol? Either that, or liver support that could help my liver function better and produce more normal amounts of cholesterol? Unfortunately, I am allergic to milk thistle, and things like curcumin and artichoke lower cholesterol, as does choline.
Answer this question and you'll at least make my Chrismas card list, if not get a phone picture of my happy dance.

P.S. -- this obstacle of some of my problems being an obstacle to my solving other of my problems is characteristic of my Lyme experience.

I'm going to guess there aren't any because bile sequestrants bind to bile, which is made up of cholesterol, which instead of being reabsorbed, is removed from the body when the binder is eliminated, so ultimately serum cholesterol levels will be depleted.
You might discuss the idea of using a binder on a pulsatile schedule with your doctor so some cholesterol is reabsorbed.
I was among the first group of LD patients ever to try Question/Cholestyramine and because it bound everything, fat soluble vitamins, hormones and medications in the intestine, my doctor suggested a pulsed schedule, which ultimately proved beneficial.
I no longer clearly recall what that schedule was. I recall I was able to work it so I was typically off during weekends.

How about modified citrus pectin? I don't know if it affects cholesterol.

It occurred to me that if you haven't investigated The Klinghardt Institute's neurotoxin binding protocol, it's available on the internet. It contains a lot of info on detox and various binders. Several of the patients who frequented the forum decades ago when I was active found it helpful then. Most went on to recover.
